  1. Past hour
  2. The club has its spreadsheet showing what it will cost to renew too early. Only a few months exceptions to the rule in Wharton and Szmodics, and if Hyam renews his deal we know for sure it won’t be on better terms.
  3. Probably left like everyone else is.
  4. U18s match report Interesting to note that Paul Butler is now namechecked as U18s head coach, Whatt has happened to Ryan Kidd & Darragh Tuffy?
  5. My dad played in a charity friendly of some sort in the late 90s, I think it was something to do with the PFA as I remember him saying Gordon Taylor was involved. Dad is about 10 years older than Robertson but could outrun him easily. ’The problem I had was that Robertson slowed you down to his level so you couldn’t actually run anywhere, almost froze you to the spot. Then he’d suddenly grab a yard past you and put a ball in with either foot. And that ball ALWAYS went to his striker, made you feel a right mug being beaten by a guy who couldn’t tackle a good fish supper, but what magical feet.’ My dad also regarded Robertson as the best player in Europe for a good 4/5years when Clough and Taylor were at Forest.
  6. Interesting that Leonard wasn't involved with him not being at Accy either. Another injury no doubt. Also looked like Powell played left wing, which after seeing him play might be a good position for him. Seemingly Garrett isn't in the first team picture at all seeing as we took a trialist to play half an hour in midfield at Accy instead of him.
  7. Doing nothing to try and renew it until April 2025 and unlikely to have done a great deal in the 10 weeks since is a funny way of dealing with something as a 'priority' but once again we see that what they say and what they do are very different. All we get now is the standard textbook arse covering and blame passing as a popular and important player edges to a rival club. It would be outrageous at most places but here people are used to it now and most of the fanbase indoctrinated with the "we can't compete" stuff anyway. I suspect the Middlesbrough thing has been burning away for a few weeks and suspect it first emerged at Rovers' end right around the time Nixon was told that we had almost sorted his new contract extension. They knew then that he was going and wanted to get their story out first and pacify the fanbase ahead of the move occurring. Next up we will get nonsensical talk about Brittain demanding ridiculous levels of money and then a few 'big' names drip fed as targets, which won't happen and then we will sign a PL kid on loan to fill in. The money disappears although some have swallowed the line about us spending millions already this summer on the three foreign lads and therefore they can claim the Brittain cash has already been spent. I suppose if you believe that you'll believe anything.
  8. Despite all the American enshitification of the spectacle including an 8 minute delay for the intro and a 24 minute HT break, it was good to see PSG humbled by some solid coaching and tough fit quick skilful opposition. PSG invulnerability broken in a single match.
  9. 'Blackburns Priority was to tie Brittain down to a new contract' Priority ? yeah right its been such a priority ....
  10. Hyam, Travis, Tronstad, Cantwell plus Ribeiro or Pickering at left back..add Hedges. Plus hopefully someone like Dramah at right back. More experience to replace Brittain But if we want to play Ismael's way we also need to sign the players who fit that style. Ismael wants pace, athleticism and ability to get up and down the pitch
  11. Don't look on Ty Dolan's Instagram account then? 🤣
  12. Feels like this Boro move came out of the blue for Brittain
  13. Carter and Wharton Injury prone. Leaving 25% of the spine with championship experience. Doesn’t look good at all.
  14. The Andy Crawford 'smokes his own exhaust' story repeats itself! I always knew it would, one day. Next thing you know, we'll be treated to pictures of Tyrhis 'training alone on the beach'.. Shameful, on the part of the faceless bastards behind the scenes at Rovers.
  15. https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/blackburn-rovers-urged-to-sell-callum-brittain-to-middlesbrough-after-pre-season-flashpoint/ Well said Simon!
  16. I’ve not had much good or bad to say about Jackson, but this is possibly the shittest article I’ve ever seen a “journalist” conceive.
  17. Today
  18. He hasnt signed for someone. 2 weeks after officially leaving here he is without a club and training on his own. Wonder why he hasn't got a club yet
  19. We have been bringing players from overseas in the last 3 windows. We still have plenty of Championship experience. Hyam, Carter, Wharton, Pickering , Cantwell, Hedges, Forshaw, Travis and Tronstad. Would include Brittain but looks like he is off to Boro which i am disappointed and gutted about. Ismael talks about the profile of player he wants and each signing fitting that.
  20. That’s come as quite a shock. Ungrateful sod. He’d be playing for Brig if it wasn’t for Rovers.
  21. I ruddy hate click bait. Why can't someone just say that he has gone and where he has gone to. Wankers.
  22. I managed to see the start when some boxing announcer was giving it the 'let's get ready to rumble' nonsense and then counted down from the sideline the for the kick off. This was after all the players had been introduced with a fanfare as they came out individually onto the pitch. The co-commentator then said 'double pivot' when referring to something Chelsea did. At that point I switched over. If our football ever got to the glitzy, razzamatazz nonsense that FIFA/America want then I would be gone like a shot.
  23. U21s match report Batty & Garrett both started, and Mafoumbi is fit and still here, he came off the bench
  24. Yesterday
  25. Too many games that aren't financially lucrative.
