Valérien Ismaël: Blackburn Rovers Head Coach

If they'd actually made some effort and made us a well known name in India as they claimed was the plan we'd at least have a bit more income from over there. Didn't want to spend any of their personal money though did they once the Venky Xpress UK plans went tits up. -

Delta, Virtu, Nike, Coral sounds like an ambitious commercial department meanwhile our lot go to one naff Lancashire networking brunch and get a main shirt sponsor from down the road and can’t bring in anything with reach outside of a 25 mile radius of the club (macron as the exception by necessity) edit: JH beat me to it and put it much better -

Birmingham and Wrexham have exploited their owners' connections abroad particularly in the USA and signed highly lucrative international sponsorship deals despite only being able to offer League One/Two football up until this year. Ambition. Thinking big. Not accepting your lot in life with a shrug of the shoulders. Contrast to this rotten regime, refusing to look beyond Darwen for sponsors or fans, not having a commercial director. 'We're a local small town club' bizarrely used as some sort of badge of honour yet hamstringing the club financially. These owners have done NOTHING in 15 years to secure the club advantageous sponsorship. Other than their own 'sponsorship' - forced to do it as a way of legitimately getting more money into the club (stickers on the shirts and filthy boards across the Riverside) there hasn't been a single sponsorship of any size or duration with Indian companies/firms. Zero effort or interest. -

They change the cast every few years and they think they are doing something different and can't seem to understand why they get stick. They should ask the producers because they give the same script out over and over. If George Orwell wrote a '1984 - Football' novel then we would be it. -

No one said it was gonna be easy. It's taken us 14 years to get rid of Chinese ownership. Funnily enough we helped Coventry City by letting them ground share with us for two seasons when they were gonna be booted out of the football league because they would have been homeless. When our fans protested rival fans applauded us. -

We really are hard up if we cant or wont sign players until we allow 3 players, none of them involved in first team squads, and none of whom will be on much, to be bundled out of the door. -

Fair point on the first part, Chaddy. However, please consider the following: 1) At least 11 people connected to the club have shared their experiences, issues and feelings about the club recently with Glen. All of those people have cited the hierarchy as being the problem and have mainly referred to one person in particular. As you know, Glen has come up with valuable info numerous times over the years and doesn't post these things on a whim. 2) On the other side of the equation, we've seen a couple of ITK's come out in recent times blaming former managers, players and some current players for leaving/wanting to leave. The general theme from these ITK's has been along the lines of those managers/players being snakes, knobheads, greedy, egotistical, unrealistic, demanding, spoilt and so on. This line of info leaking out, is clearly pro regime, pro Pasha, pro Gestede, even if the person sharing it doesn't intend it to be so. Folk like Unleaded are probably sharing what they have been told in good faith based on what he deems to be good sources. Fair enough. Surely though, you and everybody else can see the possibility that there is a split in the camp. There is conflicting info being shared. Both sides can't be right. It depends who you choose to believe at the end of the day. Personally, after experiencing 15 years of this shit show and seeing consecutive managers leave in the same way recently... it's not a question for me as to who I believe. The same patterns are repeating themselves. The same root cause. Those who defend the hierarchy within the fanbase, do not like what Glen and the Coalition are doing. They do not like what we say on here, because it hits a nerve. It shakes their fake positive bubble to listen to and read what we have to say. I've not seen it myself, but posters say Unleaded was critical of the Coalition statement. Why is that? We are trying to get our club back and that statement was about putting the truth out there. Instead of the "just be positive, man" stuff, look at actual happenings at the club. If things are genuinely positive at the club and whoever says otherwise is just a moaning bastard, why have all the recent departures happened? If people are fond of looking for snakes, they don't need to go to Derby or Sweden or Spain to find one. I suggest they look 'closer to home'. -

That's the thing with this regime, they're thick as pig shit. They use the same tired tactics over and over again. You only have to look through this message board over the last couple of years to see how many times their actions are accurately predicted. One example: After the deliberate sabotage of the Lewis O'Brien transfer I posted that they would blame the EFL for the transfer failure. The very next day they came out with exactly that, trying to place the blame with the EFL and going through that ridiculous appeal process that cost a fortune. Unfortunately there's still a lot of fans that are so completely brain dead they still believe this shit. One of them is a VERY frequent poster on this message board. Any guesses who it could be? I have no time for folk like that, they're completely pathetic and are as much of the problem as venkys. Having a difference in opinion is one thing but denying reality is unacceptable. Believe the dog shit that the club puts out there is on par with climate change denial and belief in a flat earth. -

We were playing in the division higher than Brum last season, why are we not bringing in sponsorship revenue on this scale? -

If the choice was to sign a decent striker and not register Buckley for the upcoming season, or just register Buckley and go without, what option would you go for? Also, I don't want to seem callous but Buckley having a decent career from here on is of little concern to me. He owes Rovers for the past 15 years, not the other way round. -

You have a wage budget and we have one space for a right winger signing other than that, we have 2 or more players for each position. Pears isn't even warming up pre game as 3rd choice if case Michalski or Toth got injury. Can you afford to have here post transfer window if that the case. So you need one to leave in order to bring one in. Budget, but also to allow someone like Buckley to play regular and have a career -

We can afford that. We've brought in close to £50 million over the last two years. The owners of the club are billionaires, apparently. Simple. -

random scouts? But we you can't keep just signings players until players go like Buckley, Pears and Leonard(on loan). You need to have a balance to everything. You can't just sign players and then you don't move the above on you got players you are paying that aren't playing for us but can't move on. Every club does it cos they don't want players at the club who they don't want -

Keep stock piling players? Rovers haven't stock piled anything. They've literally just replaced what they've lost, haven't they??? JRC - Alebiosu Brittain - Miller Batth - McLoughlin De Neve - Beck Henriksson - Dolan Tavares - soon to be departing Travis Nobody - Weimann I don't see any stock piling. Please give context. -

What tends to happen is that people generally believe what they want to hear. Anything regarded as not being in line with the narrative, from both sides of the argument, is generally dismissed as lies.
