  1. Past hour
  2. Still cant put this Rovers side onto any weekend Acca...just dont know what your going to get! 1-1
  3. Not yet, someone did suggest a place called the Angerstein as a place for away fans but not heard an awful lot. Will be keeping my ear to the ground.
  4. Russell Martin has to be the latest member of the British Managers Lunch Club doesn't he? 😄
  5. It certainly helps the laughing tractor boys, goal scrubbed, and man sent off scrubbed, and the final swansong, they beat us in the replay.
  6. If it pisses it down in London, and were a goal down, Ismael should bring the players off. We know the outcome now, the goals scrubbed and it's a replay. I usually put a smiley face at the end, but I'm fucking serious
  7. 100% agree but boycotting the replay makes no sense best thing to do is IF the club are sensible enough to get people in lets support the team to finish the job and stick the finger up to the EFL. Most of whom will expect Ipswich to win after doing them a huge favour.
  8. Yeah its all a conspiracy against us. Everyone hates us.
  9. Totally agree, and moments before the abandonment our new signing could have been seriously hurt by the challenge from kipre. A challenge that was made a lot worse by the conditions and the momentum kipre gained in the slide movement due to pitch.
  10. It's a fucking joke of a decision, it's because it's Blackburn Rovers they came up with that decision. Most refs are biased to the opposition at Ewood, and the fa. For some reason we're not there cup of tea.
  11. It's not really a resource we make the best use of, but that's probably because we're a bunch of old farts who don't have the time to produce a Youtube video for every pod (ask @Herbie6590 how long just the audio version takes) but also, we're old farts and don't have the time to understand what makes a good Youtube video 😄
  12. I would only really accept the EFL's decision if it included a hefty fine to the club for failing to provide a reasonable playing surface. A financial penalty is the only way anyone at the club will take this problem seriously. A full replay with no other action, citing a precedent that technically doesn't exist as relates to our circumstances, is a pathetic, cowardly way out. No wonder the EFL is in the state it's in, if the decision makers are this lacking in any form of critical thinking.
  13. Its one thing questioning the way the situation has been resolved. I dont buy the ideas of them purposely screwing over Rovers, they have followed loose precedent but I am not convinced its the best solution in this instance. But the fact that you are still sticking to your belief that the game should have continued on a pitch that was clearly waterlogged is absolutely laughable.
  14. As things stand, the Premier League looks to be a lot more even this season outside Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, City and perhaps Spurs which seems to be producing less attractive football than in previous seasons. My gut feel is clubs are taking more of a safety first approach making games a lot more sterile. The Championship on the other hand seems wildly unpredictable so far.
  15. Abandoning the game isn't the issue for me, but it's that the decision they've come to that feels unfair when they've still allowed the red card to stand. My take on it is if you're going to allow something that happened in the game to still stand, then EVERYTHING that happened in the game needs to still stand. The EFL have made it worse by making that particular call.
  16. It could have been worse. Imagine the outcry, if they had awarded Ipswich a 1-2 win, as we have a problem pitch and why should they have to travel again and add to their fixture list.
  17. Don't be daft. The pitch was utterly unplayable. The ball stopping and not bouncing was a recipe for serious injury to players on both sides whether from stretching for an unexpected deviation in ball trajectory or players being unable to stop in an attempted tackle or intervention and accidentally wiping out an opponent.
  18. Today
  19. Wrong again Kenny The ref should have played on and been much stronger then allowing McKenna and Ipswich to influence his decision. McKenna got what he want out of this appalling decision. The game shouldn't be fully replayed but the remaining time, Rovers 1 nil, 11 vs 10, same teams as 80 mins
  20. You're trying to re-write history to make yourself look better here, as others have observed, that isn't what you initially said at the time. It's okay to admit you changed your mind.
  21. Why did the ref start the game then knowing our grounds history of being water logged shouldn't of even let it go to 80th with any foresight that it could of potentially being called off. He let the game run and we should of just ended it. Both teams were playing on the same pitch at the end of the day. Both ran through puddles both sliding etc.
  22. I also said McKenna and Ipswich got what they wanted. Match called off and full match replay. They got what they wanted whilst we get sod all It was only a bit of rain. ffs. Maybe if Ipswich stop trying to side wides and gone more direct. But its OK, you just side with EFL and wrong decision. Pointless having an EFL Board when 3 of them dont vote
  23. Exactly! If anything could provoke a full Ewood, this should. A bit of creative thinking and we could actually turn this into a massive positive, a galvanising moment.
  24. They certainly wouldn’t have been playing silly sideways passes on the edge of their box on a sodden pitch (which in my view was a deliberate ploy to get the game off).
