You echo the sentiments of many Ian.Sorry to keep making the same point but this is a Club I dont recognise in its present state..Cold and distant. Its almost lost its connection with the fanbase. -

Can’t we try refashioning one of the numerous youth ‘keepers first? -

If they sell Alebiosu, are we then allowed to consider a new right wing back? Or are we still pinning our hopes on an injured Litherland rising like Lazarus and playing out of position with no back up? -

I can only speak for myself but I have over the last 10 years especially distanced myself from the club incrementally. From being a Season ticket holder (whilst living in London I would add…), plus c.10 away games per season & about £250 club shop spend each year; is now about 4 home games, 3 or 4 away games & zero spend in club shop. In that time a whole new generation of Rovers support has emerged that knows nothing other than the Venky’s, so the proportion of older fans who know what is possible & is angry/frustrated is dwindling each season. I now fear when reading other sites that I am in the minority in wanting change but TBH I’m now so weary with it, I wont do anything beyond rant on podcasts & radio programmes when given a chance. I fear I am numb to it as a coping strategy. -

Jack Barrett's loan at Tranmere has been extended until the end of the season - Tranmere fans seem happy enough Harrison Wood & James Edmondson have had their loans extended until the end of January,. Which means Edmondson may face Adam Wharton in the FA Cup next week Charlie Olson has had his loan cut short, although no mention of Harley O'Grady-Macken

What could have been, the story goes that Bordeaux wanted to sell Zidane and Duggary as a pair and Zidane had his heart set on Turin, no idea why 🤣 So we ended up buying neither…

you`de be miserable to having to deal with the cretins upstairs,no doubt the players are feeling the same to,it is a job after all, going to work in a miserable enviroment means you just want to put the minimum in and get out of the place -

Would make this a much better place, but sadly seems impossible technically. Has been a requested feature for a long time. Also a bit of irony; my guess is that user(s) who are most commonly added to the ignore list are also the most quoted, making ignoring them realistically impossible. -

we missd out badly not persuing the lad jade-jones from peterborough, though the bundesliga is a bit much for him he would have done ok in the championship, got pace to burn,as we are bereft of any ambition or seemingly scouting ability,we ended up with a mishmash of lower league eurotrash, who we also won`t be able to get rid of -
Valérien Ismaël: Blackburn Rovers Head Coach
Leonard Venkhater replied to DE.'s topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
And yet there have been several games, where I have thought they showed effort and enthusiasm and were clearly playing for him. I think the ( recruitment induced) shallow squad and consequent rake of injuries have seen the realisation in tired players (and manager?) that they were merely cannon fodder to the likes of Wrexham. Players aren't daft. They can see what Suhail and Gestede are up to. -

If we were to sign anyone in this window , it would, in my opinion, be wasted money. Ismael is a negative, uninspiring, lacking in enthusiasm and lacking in ability man. He looks miserable, his players perform like , they too , are miserable …why add more misery to any incoming addition? -

Interesting... This issue comes up a lot in our house. How have Venky's got away without a complete revolt in the fanbase? After the initial bout of destruction, I think the slow, lingering glacial pace of the downgrading is a key factor here... Also, there is a problematic (to me)reaction in a proportion of the remaining fanbase, which combines defeatism, fatalism, Stockholm syndrome...and ingrained denial. -

If we are finally looking at League 1 players, we could do worse than look at Ballard from Orient, and Wooton at Stockport. Both having good seasons as strikers. Ballard young with good So'ton academy pedigree, but only half a good season goals wise might make him cheap enough for us; ideally we'd get more experienced guy but I'd rather take a punt on him than a 20y/o Estonian kid from the Belgian third tier which is probably Gestede's plan. Orient nowhere near promotion too, so he is scoring playing for a poor team presumably; I like El Mizouni there too, the midfielder, and I would have taken Koroma on a free in the summer. Wooton I saw a fair bit of when he was at Notts; big target man, and you'd think he can compete with physicality of Champ having worked his way up in National League. I make five consecutive good seasons now in terms of goals (2 in Nat, 2 in L2 and now L1), so worth a punt, though Stockport will want to keep him for their promotion chase, and tbh they are as likely to be in Championship as us next year. I said last January we ought to be chasing top League 1 players, instead we dove into the overseas bargain bin and hoped for the best. Sam Smith, Ethan Erhahon and Thelo Aasgaard were all eminently attainable even for us and would have solved both our striker and midfield issues had we got them last Jan. Even Kwame Poku would have been possible, though his injuries have become a worry and he doesn't play at QPR. -
