  1. Past hour
  2. The problem may be that they do, do their due diligence, then still for some reason come to the Rovers. My opinion is that this is a real, free hit situation for the managers. If the team has success, it is down to them. If the team is a failure it is down to the way the club is run. The managers kudos is never lowered, all the while he is getting a reasonable salary.
  3. They get paid so they come then whilst they are here they get paid to relaunch their careers then engineer their exits once there is another job offer. That's all this club exists for now, a stepping stone for anybody and everybody the only ones who don't eff off are the ones who've created this.
  4. I wonder how long Ismael will put up with it. Amazes me how many managers don't do their due diligence before coming to the mad house.
  5. Whether Nixons story is True or not it doesn’t change the fact that they both should be given fresh terms. Cantwell by far the biggest earner and only got going towards end of season. Travis and Brittain are the heartbeat of this squad, what both players bring on and off the field can not be replaced in the market we shop in. If we have to sacrifice a signing to bump up the wages they deserve then so be it. Will it disrupt the team… who knows. But losing both of them definitely will
  6. no doubt they’ll be idiots bringing snakes at wrexham
  7. Would Rovers have got a stroke of luck if we’d had got to the FA Cup final without playing a PL club? Of course. Would that make it any less of an achievement? Of course not.

  9. Things we know are true: Venkys aren't funding the club, at least not properly Rovers are raising cash wherever they can via cost cuts and sales Pretty much every senior player has run his contract down over the last 3-4 years and nobody has renewed a contract in over 18 months. Prior to the end of March, as confirmed directly by Travis, Tronstad and Brittain, the club had not so much as even contacted them about renewing their stays, let alone put forward concrete proposals for new contracts - I am confident that these three haven't lied Now, by mid-June, we are supposed to believe that suddenly Rovers have got their act together, whilst the players have been off on holiday since early May, and have put forward concrete serious proposals for new deals in an effort to keep all these players and incur the substantial extra financial cost and commitment that comes with it, totally contrary to all the above? Nah, pull the other one. They're paving the way for sales, so they need to get their agenda out first and also drop 'links' to a few incomings in to balance it out a bit. Seen it all before. Some never learn.
  10. Well Wrexham is prepared to offer more money than we will and certainly have more ambition but that's true of just about every team in the League.
  11. Nixon is a spin doctor that's what he is it's his job he takes snippets of info and rumour and spins them into tales and stories. His ability to play both sides and sit on the fence via his wording is legendary yet some still can't see it, others chose not to unless it suits. I think the main reason a lot on here flip flop between believing him then not is because unfortunately his positive spin usually turns out to be hot air whereas the negative stuff often follows through in reality.
  12. I didnt say that the performances and results were down to luck. As ever, you either purposefully or otherwise totally misunderstand. Repeatedly playing teams that arent the world/europes elite in knockout rounds in major tournaments? Especially in the quarter finals and beyond where any advantage of topping the group is gone. Totally out of our control, so its luck. Beating those teams? Obviously not luck.
  13. Quoting Nixon should be an instant ban for spamming fake news
  14. What evidence is there to suggest that will happen?
  15. He does not say Travis HAS been offered a 3 year deal by Rovers.
  16. Nixon being Captain Obvious once more. Rovers struggling to sign players up, because we aren’t willing to part with any cash, despite having billionaire owners.
  17. Bloody hell, talk about the pot calling the kettle black. You hang off Nixon's every word when he says something you like. Now he's posted something which doesn't align with your super positive point of view you're more or less ignoring it. Lol.
  18. 100% spot on. I do find it really strange how some are so desperate not to blame or criticise Rovers that they will happily watch the good managers and that important core of senior players broken up and offloaded to the likes of Derby and Wrexham What is happening here is just another step along the Venky stripping down or the club and gutting it of assets. Nothing more or less to it than that What the fans, manager or players want or think is totally irrelevant. The issue is with Rovers and their approach.
  19. Dolan out of contract, brittain Travis tronstad heading that way, if it’s not the clubs fault who’s it 🀣🀣 some would argue the clubs best 4 players. Any other club in the championship giving away there prize assets? Brereton free, szmodics Wharton sold on the cheap. Not the clubs fault tho.
  20. And selling both would just about cover the 4 or so they requested from India. It's all about that black hole now and in a few months there'll be another one.
  21. Yes I may have heard that mentioned once or twice! 🀣 I meant recently as that was what the poster I replied to was alluding to.
  22. You arent blaming Rovers? Theres a surprise. This shouldnt be a discussion now, it should have long since be sorted. We shouldnt be coming into a summer where we already need a number of signings having also to manage key contract issues. They should have been offered deals long before now, and we would know either way if they were staying or going. Instead we get excuses. "Lets wait until the end of the season" and "lets wait until we know what division we are in." Last season was built on two things. The managerial ability of Eustace who has now gone and a core of really solid Championship players like Tronstad, Travis, Brittain, Batth, Hyam, Dolan etc and it seens possible that most wont be at the club next season. All to be replaced by players from abroad on cheaper wages.
