  1. Past hour
  2. You asked me a question neither of us could possibly answer either way. We clearly arent offering competitive Championship wages for this to be a continued running theme. But the main issue is the lack of proactivity. Why are we still to offer actual contracts for players with such little time remaining on their deals? Why has there been an 18 month lull? Occasionally some players will outgrow us, but in that case ie Brereton and Rothwell, you have to sell and reinvest. Dolan, I think he would have signed had we been proactive. Now, not gonna happen especially as his stock has grown and his deal has been allowed to expire.
  3. Fucking shite Forshaw is absolutely wank.
  4. It's because Trav or Tronstad are off and he's the replacement.
  5. Forshaw for another year. As expected but an underwhelming addition (or whatever we're calling it). A serious lack of ambition runs through this club.
  6. I ask you one question and you come back with a boring old BRFCS insult. Thatโ€™ll teach me for signing in.
  7. I'll start. Absolute fucking joke. The one area where we probably should be looking at academy players (4th or 5th choice backup) and we are signing up a guy who was generally piss poor after being brought in off the Plymouth scrap heap.
  8. Some of them might not, I am not saying they all would. But the club isnt proactive even in offering contracts. Dolan got offered one in the Broughton days, not even been offered a proper one since. Travis and Tronstad, even now, just talks with their representatives. I suspect you are only defending the club on this to go against the grain.
  9. ๐Ÿฟ I'm just here for the comments.
  10. Re Pears - just adding my thoughts, it was never simply the Wigan gaffe that caused my own dislike of him, it is the constant nervousness he passes on to the defence, especially under pressure. Especially when JDT made him have the most touches per game after dropping Kaminski, a horrible time to watch rovers. I had empathy with Pears, he shouldโ€™ve never been in that situation but that might also be down to my hatred of this modern trend in football for the keeper to be basically a sweeper. The run of games with the fuckup vs Sheffield Wednesday. Seasons all blend into one for me nowadays, so Iโ€™m not sure what season it was - I particularly remember that goal he concedes vs Preston at home was just typical weak arse goalkeeping. No personality and I canโ€™t see him getting better. Itโ€™s early days with Toth but Id go that way as I personally see far more potential.
  11. Phenomenal job by Pears to keep them out though given that's his usual challenge when goalkeeping
  12. As we all expected, probably after realising that actual quality costs money, we give Forshaw another year. A player we released but all predicted would return. Not good enough. I did enjoy this line, playing us for fools: He becomes Roversโ€™ second signing of the summer, following the arrival of Belgian winger Dion De Neve earlier this month.
  13. Foreshaw signed on for another year. Forgive my excitement, it's hard to control myself.
  14. You tell us the kind of contract you think Dolan, Brereton, Rothwell, Lenihan wouldโ€™ve signed.
  15. But if that pattern continues, it will only end up one wayโ€ฆ
  16. Today
  17. Good day all! I know I may not be everyones cup of tea but I come to you in hope - I have started an over ambitious project in order to celebrate Blackburn Rovers 150th anniversary hoping to wrangle 150 Blackburn Rovers fans to record a special Blackburn Rovers memory - whether it was a match, a player, a goal or just an occasion. I am looking for one memory for one day as we edge closer to November 5th to celebrate Rovers founding. Why am I here? Well I hope I can convince at least one of you to submit your own memory. Nothing fancy or spectacular required - just a recorded video of you reliving your Blackbun Rovers experience. If this is not for you - I dont blame you - however if you want to help in acheiving this goal of getting some fans together to celebrate something special then please drop your Rovers memory here: https://cutt.ly/brfcmem Hoping for a year to remember and would love to hear your Blackburn Rovers memories. Regards Dirk
  18. He is a much better goalkeeper than Pears. Has played in the top flight in Belgium and here. Also been in multiple national team squads. I was a big JDT fan but he wouldn't be have been coaching in the championship or for a small nation like Sweden if his decision making was impeccable
  19. I wouldn't be paying a million quid for a keeper who was kept out by Pears.
  20. Yep, no doubt heโ€™s been a disgraceful owner. However, you can forsee a day when heโ€™s fucked off, whereas hereโ€ฆ
  21. Roy Keane had it right. They are overrated.
  22. Clearly we tried with a poor offer not up to scratch otherwise he would have signed. It should never have to this. But now it has. Even if he has said he wants to look around. A club with a shred of ambition wouldnt respond with the attitude of "ok we will leave you to it." They would say heres an improved concrete offer before you go, we are desperate for you to stay. Stop swallowing every bit of shite that comes out of the club.
