It's a very sad state of affairs I'm afraid. We do have to remember Venkys won't last forever. Things don't go on forever, but things often go on longer than they ought. So we have an Academy lad (Pratt) who is reluctantly drafted in as an absolute last resort after we've tried and failed with Ryan Hedges in that position. Said Academy prospect absolutely excels and doesnt let us down once. However all of a sudden he's discarded because another Club wants their player to get some game time. Said loanee scores an own goal within 3 minutes of his debut and basically looks like he's never seen a football pitch before. And we're apparently obliged to play him all season otherwise we'll be hit with penalty clauses. Isn't that a wonderfully quintessential Venky's Rovers thing?
