  1. Past hour
  2. I think your first line here is telling - you don't rate/understand holding midfielders, despite them playing a vital role. What you see as boring or pointless (eg recyclying of the ball) is an important element of a good team unit. It's no coincidence that you're in a gang of one on this; you're wrong. Tronstad is a very good player at this level - certainly a lot better than Travis. Anyway I didn't catch all of yesterday's game due to Boxing Day family commitments, but I was really impressed with what I saw of Baradji again. Looks the real deal so far and explains why we were keen to take him, injury and all. Good point away to 2nd/3rd in the league.
  3. Sheffield Wednesday are still selling tickets online to there own fans. So why would they say to Rovers, you need to take these off sale 6 days before the game? Think about it for just a minute, and that will tell you who's decision it was.
  4. Unfortunately I can see what happens here. Sheffield Wednesday's home win is coming based on there last few performances. Sheffield Wednesday 2 a Knackered and injury ravaged Rovers 0
  5. just for Context, Crawley is our highest run scorer in this series, 256 runs in 8 innings. Carse has 19 wickets in this series,
  6. You would expect majority of the work would be bringing in players for the under 21/18 whilst one of two might be first team squad.
  7. There’s little to celebrate and the match went exactly as predicted with England finally turning up when it doesn’t matter and the series is lost England could well go on to win the last Test too as I stated but that will not hide the fact that multiple failures by the management have led to another disastrous and embarrassing campaign MCullum’s time is up and so is that of some of the players
  8. That number may have increased https://www.linkedin.com/in/raphael-scherrer-aa3611b1/ Responsible for next generation recruitment (U18-U23) in Europe and Africa Whilst that would mainly be academy recruitment, there does look to be some overlap
  9. no action will be taken by the FA just like it wasn't with Ben Whiteman's reckless tackle. The ref clearly seen the tackle and what type of tackle it was yet only given a yellow
  10. That's what my post is about what we need which is moving on Gueye, Carter, Garrett(sadly), Tyjon(cos he won't sign a pro contract), De Neve on loan/permanent and one of Ribeiro or Pickering leaving the other as back up to Hedges as LWB(I would keep Pickering personally and let Ribeiro go sadly) That's give you 4 spots to bring new signings and register them if over 21. A striker is our must urgent need, a centre back and right wing back. He could play the focus point role up front like Gudjohnsen did, he is match fit and knows this league. We need players who won't need much adaption time. That's the type of signings we need, looking overseas will probably be cheaper but will they be ready unless they have experience of playing in England Is the committee doing the transfer negotiations? of course not, That's what Gestede's job is the head of football operations, That's is where your point above is wrong and you clearly don't understand how football works in you think a transfer committee is doing football transfers negotiations. We have 4 people on a committee/group who decide on transfers in Ismael, Gestede, Cairney and Owen.
  11. Above £500 already…thank you everyone who has donated…
  12. Won't be easy especially with all our absences likely increased by the Boro game but we really need to grind out a win at Hillsborough. Thankfully we still have several options to select from and I suspect more youngsters will be getting more match time. For Wednesday, every game is a free hit so they will make for unusual opposition but they have enough players who are not Championship level for this to be all about us being clinical in exploiting their slip ups.
  13. Today
  14. As welcome as it is, one win doesn’t change anything.
  15. Same old recycled comments. No-one standards have dropped but you enjoyed dropping these sort of comments very rich coming from you given you don't rate our second best player in Tronstad. How that's for standards?
  16. Well well, England win our first test in Australia for 14 years, yes 14 years. Maybe this will calm everyone down who is demanding change and actually instead of wanting to rip up our management team and captain, we look into our preparations for this series, the squad pick, etc. A full and proper review need to be done into everything including the County cricket structure. Pleased that England supporters out in Australia have seen a win finally. Michael Vaughan tweeted a few hours ago that this pitch is disgrace and not suitable to test cricket. Aussie wickets used to be hard and fast with spinner coming into the play on day 4 or 5, Wonder why they have changed the wickets they actually prepare off site and drop in.
  17. We have won 3 and drawn 8 of our last 11 league games away to Boro
  18. Another away result in our favour- However it’s not a win but a clean sheet with Pears in goal (!!) there were times in recent seasons where a win at Middlesbrough was almost expected how times (and expectations ) have changed edging closer to every rovers fan favourite time of the year, what madness will they try and spin this time
  19. Bethels just gone. Decent knock. 4 down now.
  20. No sorry. I meant Clifford the big red dog. Too many kids movies for me.
  21. JUST. PLAY. NORMAL. TEST. CRICKET.
  22. Chaddy buzzes off anything a manager or Gestede rates. If we're linked with a player he'll suddenly say that he would recommend said player. The time of day given is mental to me. Made even more frustrating that he has me on ignore
