Valérien Ismaël: Blackburn Rovers Head Coach

Could imagine a scenario where we will sell someone like Alebiosu to pay for the sacking as he still has over TWO YEARS left on his deal 😂 -
What other protest ideas have you got lined up? Need to keep the pressure on.

Think Portsmouth and Charlton will drop back in, and a points deduction for Leicester would be another one.

He looked ok in a front 2 alongside Ohashi, on the shoulder of the last man, he has so far offered little from wide areas, and cant see him working as a lone striker -

Early days, but getting Grabbi vibes off Jorgensen. Doesn't really look like what we need at all. Needed a goal scorer but looks like he might be a fairly ineffective non scoring wide man. Not cheap by our standards at all either. -

No I said a third of our history, not the third time in our history. To my memory we will have been down there 6 seasons? Might be 4 or 5 in which case it's worse. -

I suppose if we have any real hopes of remaining in this league then we have to roll the dice and sack the manager now. It's not going well for Val and it doesn't look like that's about to change anytime soon. Maybe there's no manager on earth who could save this ragtag bunch, but we may as well try. If we wait any longer we could be cut adrift at which point it will be too late. Unfortunately, I suspect saving some money on Val's severance payout is more of a priority than anything on the pitch. -

You've got to give VI credit. He's consistent. He can bomb without trace with either a half decent squad another guy had in 6th or 7th,or with a substandard squad he's filled with assorted Euro trash of his own choosing. All the same to him. He's not fussy. -

He could still come good but was not the signing we needed. -

Has he been potted yet? I can’t wait all day. I am off to a brew pub later and I would like to properly celebrate with a rich Porter. -

I know it's been said a million times before on here but it can't be repeated often enough. Who'd have thought driving out a manager with a very good recent track record who had you in 7th and replacing him with a Head Coach with a very poor recent track record everywhere he's been and replacing your best players with cheap Eurotrash would end in tears? Strange one really. -

Blown away he's still in charge. One of the worst we've had. -

He made the chance for himself but then leaned back on the ball a bit. -
Yeah, thought Forshaw was playing well, I certainly clapped him off.

Absolutely agree. Every pint, pie and bag of chips purchased by a season ticket holder still helps them. I do not want to hear about sodexo and contracts etc. It all has an effect. Season ticket renewals will be the acid test. Anyone who thinks it is about results is really not paying attention. It is about the systematic slow death of the club. You are nothing special by supporting "through thick and thin".You are essentially a Pasha and Rao enabler. I miss my club, I want it back. I would buy 5 season tickets tomorrow in leauge 2 under new ownership. Taken me a long time to get here. For years I thought I am not letting them take Rovers away from me. They already have whether I go or not. I want us to take the club back by taking Rovers away from them. This will only be done by NAPM. -

The atmosphere at Ewood has been poor for many years. It was hardly Leeds at the best of times but there's been nowt to shout about for a long, long time. I'm not an optimist, but I anticipate there'll be nowt to shout about for many years to come. Things will keep getting worse for Blackburn Rovers until one day they don't. -

You are giving the idiots in charge too much credit He was signed on a 3.5 year contract 😉 Still has 2.5 years left, and he isn't getting sacked -

Didn't see the top line at first and my heart sang a little when I saw the graphic. Please don't do that to us. Lol. -
Some quotes from the Barrow forum on how Powell got on Have to agree with the general consensus that it was a very strange move taking off Powell who had a good game at both ends, against a tricky opponent in the Swindon 29. Jackson couldn’t contain him at all and even his touch was off. Once that happened and after Swindon ... The new lads look ok but as soon as Powell went off and Jackson came on it was all over We were our most effective and fluid before the first subs with good positioning, attacking and pressing. Powell taken off too early on his debut. Jackson was a poor substitution Powell taken off to early Powell taken off far to early Jackson is gonna lose us this game Twitter seems to agree
