Agreed, they've already set (or continued) the precedent of asking both sides to put their case forward. The facts are all known, they should just make the inevitable decision. -

The outcome would be 3pts to Rovers, if it was my decision. 1-0 up with around 10 minutes to go plus added on, there weren't many stoppages, and Ipswich down to 10 men. I'm sure any Ipswich supporter would think the same, if the glove was on the other hand. - Today

They will at the very least be ordered to cover costs and try and make a few extra pennies so there'll be some sort of charge. Meanwhile Ipswich will probably subsidise those who want to travel again. -

If I’m the EFL I’m making a decision without taking representations from either side. All that will happen now is they’ll be accused of listening to one side over the other. -
Love this thread! Keep up the good work, mate.

Of course they could - just have a feeling that the decision will be accompanied by the date for the replay. All angles covered - no public debates about when it should be played etc -

Forgot Grant McCann was Doncaster manager. Find it amusing how he and Darren Ferguson seem to take it in turns to manage Donny and Peterborough 😅. Ferguson - Four times at Posh, once at Donny McCann - Twice at Posh, twice at Donny However my lasting memory of McCann will always be the own goal he scored against Rovers in the 7-1 win over West Ham. -

Could they not just announce the decision and that a confirmed date will follow in due course? -

I genuinely think the delay is purely due to the EFL wanting to state the date for the replay in their decision. That requires agreement from all sides (including Police etc) -

I can only think that Rovers might include Ismael's comments from yesterday in their final submission (had they not already done so). If Ismael wasn't asked for his opinion by anybody yet the Ipswich manager was Rovers might point to Ipswich putting some pressure on the referee. Clutching at straws perhaps but the more evidence and doubt we can put in the EFL's minds might just help. Disclaimer: I still think it will replayed wholly and 11 v 11. -

It's not more difficult but it is less beneficial financially. If the shortened match is behind closed doors then the club will have to issue refunds on the original match and get no income from the 15 minute match. Pasha thinks in terms of pound notes, he doesn't care about the 3 points. Officially, the club will probably push for the 15 minute option but I know what Pasha would prefer. -

Now, if the club had any sense, this is a chance to turn a potential replay into a positive. Just have it be free tickets for everyone. Try to get as many in as possible. See it as a bonus fixture that can create new supporters and generate revenue from concessions. They won't do this, but it would be a silver lining if the full replay is required. -

Might be sooner when it turns out Rovers neglected to press send, and as a result, Ipswich's suggestion passes unchallenged 😉 -

Again, that is where the manager has to make the decision who, in his opinion, is the best player . Sentiment shouldn't enter the equation. -

If it's the last 10+stoppage it would just be behind closed doors, streamed online. They wouldn't bother paying concourse staff and stewards for 15 mins. The argument that it's more difficult than a 90 mins game doesn't really wash. And if we wanted a full 90 mins replay, it would have been announced by now because that's obviously what Ipswich want too. -
