  1. Past hour
  2. If there is one thing this ownership has proved very good at it's the smoke and mirrors tactics.
  3. Generally, £1m doesnt get you much these days. I'd be surprised if Kargbo who we spent roughly that on turns out to be as good as Dolan.
  4. A comment i saw from a Sunderland fan in regards to that CEO was if Blackburn need to go into admin without bringing in the administrators then this is the man. Only saving grace is according to the job advert he wouldn't be a CEO at all just a non football non corporate non finance exec. Sounds like they want someone to run the rest of it as if it were on the verge of bankruptcy !
  5. Of course we can’t know this but it certainly sounds like a plausible Venkys’ “ not our fault guv” tactic. Everything appears (to me at least) as if they’re doing the bare minimum, and even then reluctantly so and at the last possible moment (before the shit hits the fan). As is often asked on this and other threads, why won’t they sell the club??
  6. No i'm clearly saying that Brittain was poor defensively till last season when he seemed to have found a more aggressive robust edge. Nyambe was decent enough in terms of defence in fact he was a beast at times just totally useless crossing the halfway line. Why hes fallen away who knows but his image of himself obviously didn't quite tally with his actual ability. He's not the first not to kick on the way he should have and won't be the last. I see your mental gymnastics and history adjusting are still up to their usual summer standards though, i'm neither surprised nor lost for words.
  7. As for Dolan, I’d be shocked to my core if we can’t find a much better player for £1m.
  8. Oh my word. Nyambe wasn’t even the best right back at his house and he lived with his mum and sister! Dearie me…🤣🤣 Joking aside, are you saying that up until last season, the guy who could barely get a game at Wigan or Derby was better than Brittain, at anything!? If so, I’m lost for words…
  9. But it cost a million quid to replace the homegrown Nyambe who up until last season was a still better defender than Brittain but useless going forwards. Is there a million quid available to replace Dolan on the same wages ?
  10. Hopefully, someone will realise what he is all about, before it is too late.
  11. 100%. Ditto Lowe, Bennett, Hedges, Gallagher etc etc.
  12. The frustration though is born out of knowing how good he can be on other days. Personally i found watching the likes of Corey Evans stealing a wage here much more frustrating than a developing player on peanuts putting the graft in.
  13. You've pretty much nailed it there. Yes, they shouldn't have got themselves in the position they have with the Indian Authorities in the first place, but they have the wherewithal to work round it and SHOULD have the willingness to do so as well.
  14. Today
  15. Saw some comments on Redditt from Sunderland fans who were basically saying that they hated Bain with a passion and they felt the documentaries were framed in such a way as to shift blame away from him and on to Ellis Short. Didn't realise he'd been at Rangers during an infamous period as well. Extremely worrying.
  16. This thread is classic brfcs, page after page over semantics and dictionary definitions. End of the day would a committed owner that wanted the best for Blackburn Rovers work within the judicial framework they’ve been placed in and still properly fund the club? Yes, but as they don’t want the best for Blackburn Rovers, they won’t, but at least now they have legalities to hide behind.
  17. Look like we've got more fitness staff than players.
  18. ‘In-Depth’ on RoversTV? The impediment is over!
  19. Well he did live in England until he was 19!
  20. He could enquire all he wants. He wouldn't get an answer.
  21. No problem at all. I am all for healthy debate and let's face it, most on here have the same goal. It would be a boring place, if we all had the same views and opinions.
  22. Ultimately, we should simply judge them on how well they run the club both on and off the pitch. And we all know the answer to that.
  23. Apologies if it came across as a pop at you, it wasn't you who was being objectionable about it.
  24. I am genuinely not giving them any means. These conversations about the impediments have come about, due to my interpretation of what that word means and what other peoples is. I am not for one minute excusing them for not sending funds, quite the opposite. In my view to end up in this position through gross miss management and through manipulating, and miss representing, what funds being sent, for the benefit of the football club, were really used for. I would rather putt his conversation to bed and accept that some people understand the word in a different way than I do, which I am fine with and carry on, perhaps with my little bit if input in raising ideas and posting my thoughts, on how we rid ourselves, of these people. Matter closed, so far as I am concerned.
  25. We always played 2 touch football in training - it speeds the game up and forces you as a player to think quicker and get your first touch right You have to wonder if Rovers should do the same because it would improve Dolan’s game.
  26. So basically you're admitting that ( notwithstanding his faults) he is/was still one of our better players? I have to say that people complaining about Dolan when we've got Hedges on the other side is one of the most bizarre things I've seen in my time watching football.
