2025 Summer Transfer Thread. 😂

He has said it, multiple times, when specifically being asked about contract negotiations, not random interviews. If you don't think the 2 correlate so be it. -

If you think Dolan's going upwards from here career wise you'll be in for a shock. He's trying to get a move to a team, any team, that otherwise wouldn't typically pay a transfer fee to sign him. Either way I don't think he will have much of an impact wherever he goes, yes we could end up missing him since we relied far too heavily on him, I'll say it again... due to a lack of investment in his position to give him any sort of decent competition... Other teams probably wouldn't miss him as much since they'd spend a million or two on a replacement. He definitely won't get as many minutes as he did with us as close to the Championship top 6 again. If he somehow manages to fluke a prem move off the back of some decent Sky performances and OTT punditry with us, I can guarantee you he won't feature. -

Ya know, if you two blocked each other instead of having the same arguments (about many things), the amount of posts on this forum would probably drop by about 20%. Just saying. -

Find me a player who doesn't want to play at the highest level. I'd be far more disappointed if he didn't have that ambition. He has never once said he should be playing in the Premiership now. -
@Tyrone Shoelaces Many of us on here love hearing the stories of Rovers games gone by, your knowledge is like an encyclopaedia, superb stuff. I know you're a big Rugby League fan, but were you a massive cricket fan too? Domestically or International? Did you see Boycott block up one end for 3 days and send the rest of the team to picture? Did you see Underwood spin the Aussies out in the ashes? Any stories would we most welcome 👍

Haven't got a clue because people have different opinions? He was ineffective in many games last season, downright wasteful and frustrating in others. He did however turn in some good appearances, the best ones though came towards the end of the season, putting himself in the shop window at all? Nobody knows what he's been offered, but one way or another the valuations don't meet. -

Lets be honest, Dolans critics on here haven't got a clue and certainly can't see any bigger picture. If you go to Ewood week in week out and are happy to see Dolan leave, your seat must be behind a pillar in The Riverside. RoverInverness calls it spot on, why would we want to lose a player lie Dolan? Bonkers. -
One of the great attributes of being a footballerer.

I’ll stick my neck out - He’s a hard working lad, he’s a good attitude and he flatters to deceive (i.e, he sometimes looks a bit better than he really is). He also has shown steady improvement year on year. If he keeps that up someone may take a punt on him as a squad player in a team towards the bottom end of the Premier League for a season or two when he hits his peak. He’s still only 23, he could have another several years improving. I’m not saying he’s ready for that level now. He needs to score more goals and continue to up his assists, just for starters. His decision making can also be lacking, that’s probably his biggest hurdle to overcome. However, I’ll stand by the fact he’s a good kid with some talent, lots of effort, plenty determination and he clearly listens to his coaches - it can take a player a long way. He may surprise some of his critics on here. -

I have never once said that I dont favour youth players coming through. You suggested that we can rely on Montgomery though. I dont get how you can possibly have come to that conclusion yet. -
It would appear that the Venkys and the Directorate of Endorcement have done a deal where the DE will issue the no objection certificate so long as the Venkys meet all the conditions previously imposed by the court. Whether this deal (assuming it exists - I’m basing this on the certificate which was issued March ‘24 without a court case) includes the DE okaying funds being sent for transfers is anyone’s guess (although I believe most would think not). If it does, then yes, this would include Venkys having to give the £2.5 million (in your example) to the ED by way of a guarantee.

One transfer I’m fairly sure has happened is hair from one part of Pears’ head to another. The lad hasn’t taken his hat off all summer. Must have been to Turkey on the quiet. -

That's suit your argument diesn't it. I asked you a very simple question and you couldn't answer it, just waffle on about X and Y. I just don't know why you refused to answer simple answer He could have renewed when GB was here if he was only 2k as the poster said on the other previous page. Back to this, I not going this same arguments about young players with you again. I get it, you don't favour bring youth players through, fine no problem, please ignore my comments on bringing through how young players through and playing them in the first team. I don't see the point if keep going around in circles over this issue every few weeks. -
The original writ petition by the Venky’s was, as you said, in relation to not being allowed to send £26 million. This writ is yet to be fully resolved (I know right!!) what has happened in the meantime is: In June ‘23 the judge allowed the circa £3.6 million to be sent across as an interim measure. The Venky’s have made separate applications (a case within a case if you like) to: * be able to send £11 million across (heard and approved 31/10/23) * be able to send monies without the need for a guarantee (first of many adjournments 23/9/24 - currently listed for 5th August) * be able to send £4.85 million across (heard and approved 26/5/25) Hope that helps.

Well it shows every major event that happened since 2021. It's designed to be a resource for people who want to understand what has been happening. It took a lot of time and effort to put together and required reading and re reading court and legal documents hence the reason I have a decent understanding of the situation. I wasn't personally feeding you a length btw. However, since comprehension of the English language is not something you appear to be particularly adept at I'm not surprised that you've misunderstood what I was saying.
