  1. Past hour
  2. Having thought about this a while today I think this might have been planned. They will have known that the announcement about the women's team would cause tremendous backlash. Sacking the CEO who is known to be the target of fan groups - and who is nearing retirement anyway is a win, win. Especially with the money saving element. I'm not fan of Waggot's at all but this feels a little convenient.
  3. cos communicate to your supporters and your stakeholders is important. Does your boss or CEO not communicate to you regular at your workplace? The lack of communication of their decision to the Women's team players was shameful If you are a member of the WATR then asked the chair via email your question
  4. Delighted hehas gone. Someone who has done untold damage to the club imo both deliberately and through incompetence. Glad he's had enough of the pressure of been scapegoated or whatever. Still feel he has escaped far too lightly for his abuse of Rovers as have many before. Problem is the bigger issue still own us. Until they go malice and negligence will reign at Ewood.
  5. A return to the ‘benevolent dictatorship’ model favoured by GlennP and SteB?!
  6. But again, why do you assume that specifically the CEO ie Waggott has total autocracy over that area? Similar to head coaches leaving, putting aside the fact that Lambert did the same before he came. Why are you so sure that they left because of him? Ticketing policies have been consistently shocking, but in the grand scheme of things, it is small fry compared to the owners providing peanuts as transfer budgets in the vast majority of seasons here, interfering to stop multi million sales and pocketing big sales without reinvesting. All clubs have wage bills that totally dwarf ticket money, the properly run ones promote reinvestment and that is how they cut the losses, by selling players continuously at a profit.
  7. A pragmatic response to potential dissent…😆
  8. I very much doubt the likes of Derby are offering more per week to a player like Batth, give or take a grand or two. Think the key to this will be having an option of a further year to get him to stay, at least he knows he's likely to be first choice here when fit.
  9. Suhail is now the COO of Rovers now so that's not an issue Rovers isn't an India company so how could India investigations investigate Rovers paperwork. The owners aren't on the board of directors either. I don't know enough whether they could investigate over here in the UK or not. do you have knowledge of whether they could or not?
  10. I definitely didn't say that about winning a trophy. I just think that for a team so expensively assembled, to have had such a bad league season (like I said, its hard to fathom quite how bad it is, 17th is ridiculous) and having consistently been so poor, I don't get how the powers that be would see Ange as the man to take them forward. I would love to know aside from all the generic spiel, what you have seen from United under Amorim in terms of green shoots to make you think that he is the man to potentially push them on? Have you seen anything at all that his tactics will eventually work? I hope they fail badly and from what I have seen, he is the man to do that so hopefully they keep him. And yes, I did criticise Ismael and would have welcomed a change. You clearly don't understand my point about hypocrisy if that's a counter argument. It is you that is disgusted when a head coach is sacked 6 months, a year or even 2 years in, so it is then a bit rich when at your own club you welcomed a change after 8 games.
  11. Heard he's banned anyone who might be a no vote. Squash the uprising before it starts.
  12. Because a better CEO might have the mindset that he or she can achieve similar results by attempting to increase revenues or at least bums on seats rather than just shrinking the Club and merely cutting costs.
  13. Its weaker cos other leagues aren't a strong as our league is and your better teams are in champions league, that's what the clubs and UEFA wanted No, I want to give them time to build a team and I think some clubs are far too impatient On Ismael, Yes I did but so did plenty of others. I did cos their performances were poor and I could see our playoff place slippery away. Yourself did plenty of comments on Ismael's early games and you were unhappy about the results. SPURS WON A TROPHY. End of story and that is what Football is about, winning things. On Spurs, their league performances weren't good enough as Ange has said but having a number of key defenders out and attacking players didn't help them plus they win a trophy and got champions League football, Ange set winning a trophy as the aim, and he and the players delivered that. I would take poor league position if we won a trophy, cos you will never forget winning it or being at Stadium celebrating that win with the fans, players and staff.. From your comments you clearly wouldn't. sad really United only made a change during this season and they knew this squad didn't ft how Amorim's style of play and tactics but they accepted that and appoint him. Now its need signings to make his tactics work. Also Amorim warned that this would happened when appointed there and he was right. All what you seem to forget again. The problem started here 12 months when they were indecisive over Ten Hag going or staying, even speaking to a number of different managers about the role including Amorim supposedly.
  14. Im not saying they micromanage everything, as you say they clearly dont care. But they clearly have only one objective, to cut costs. Why though do you focus and place the blame solely on Waggott and not Suhail, if that is your line of thinking?
  15. Until we find out hes already been running it from his laptop via Pasha for a few years. There's a lot gone on in the last few years when before that nothing went on for years so something changed a while back and i've often wondered why, beyond just the court case obviously.
  16. Shell of a club going into our 150th year. Absolute shit fest, well done Coalition. Still hate Loons. Fuck off Pasha and take the Loons with you. Can't wait till you go!!
  17. It is technically possible I suppose that they could appoint someone just as bad or even worse. Id suggest they'd have to go go some though if it was anyone external.
  18. Because some clown will make some monumental cock up at some point then try and cover it up. It's absolutely amazing we didn't end up in trouble when they clearly had a 3rd party running the club in plain sight. They'll not get away with it again and they've had Suhail hiding in the shadows running things but obviously he couldn't have a proper title for years due to whatever. That kind of thing won't go unnoticed nor will the investigations in India, which so far hasn't involved the club, but how long before someone over here wants to investigate BRFC paperwork if some administrative cock up draws attention to the club.
  19. So do you think the owners micromanage the Club from India on a daily basis and Waggott just sat there not doing anything other than what he was specifically told? I'm sure for £300k p.a. (initially) he'd have had a lot more latitude than that and neither do I believe the owners show enough interest in the Club to have that level of involvement.
  20. Balaji's son graduated a few years back - if the plan was to install him in any sort of capacity at Rovers then I think they would have attempted it by now. If it is Gestede/Yasir or any sort of "internal" appointment, then pressure needs to be ramped up massively. Get Pasha gone and we might finally have a chance of getting rid of Venky's.
  21. What power struggle? Between him and Suhail who is still here and doesnt communicate with the (I will use your favourite word) stakeholders at all. Sufi is another incompetent arse kisser getting jobs he is out of his depth in as a result. Run the club properly and you wont need to "communicate with your stakeholders" as no one will care.
  22. Today
  23. You think hes managed 7 years under Venkys reign just doing whatever he wants? I look forward to how well we will now be run now this one bad apple has been removed. I dont get why youve always been keen to pin everything on him and deflect away from the real source. You even put driving away managers specifically on him before. That was happening before he even turned up. Its great news that hes gone in isolation but it will make little to no difference with the main problem still here.
  24. Of course i do but that doesn't alter my point..... that being they'll always install someone here from over there.
  25. Waggott is lazy and as done as he is told for the past 7 years, without rocking the boat. He is not the devious mastermind that you seem to think he is
  26. Yeah poor comms with stakeholders ( 🚨 ) is the issue.
  27. Who apart from you and WATR care whether they communicate? It's whether they do the right thing or not which matters.
