Very much a case of trying to cobble together a side to minimise the obvious weaknesses in the squad. Toth Alebiosu Carter Wharton Pickering TGH Tronstad Miroshita Cantwell Hedges Gudjohnsen Tavares has looked sub par so give TGH a game. Pickering is IMO better than Ribeiro. Ohashi has not started the season like the refreshed goalscorer some predicted so stick Gudjohnsen straight in. And how we are going into games selecting Hedges still shows up recruitment. Bets on how long it will take one of the 2 centre backs to pull up. Cant see past a home win but hope they surprise me. -

"on the other hand, the bacon butties at Gawthorpe are only a short drive down the A671.." or, Cantwell, "Behold! See how the uninitiated hang on my every word as Captain.." Ismael, "STFU Mr Bouffant, when I want your opinion, I'll give it to you.." -

Oi Pasha!..is that you hiding behind that Corner post? -
Which-ever way it goes, I will be in my house on matchdays.
-
Shall we open a book? I know where my money is going

We do have the option of playing three at the back, until one of the three get injured or suspended. It is a risky strategy, but it is available. If VI does choose this plan, and it is successful, happy days. If not then he will have to try another plan.

I think we are about to find out.

Valerien Ismael insists his support of the French President does not interfere with his role at Rovers… -
Waggott, himself, said he brought Eustace in... Re two factions, in the early days, I always wondered whether the two factions reflected two different owners...

Completely different time periods.

I think it was, I seem to recall some link to his playing days at Coventry coinciding with Waggott working for them but I may be wrong.
-
Yep, I am in two minds as to if that is a good or a bad thing - it stops everyone pulling in the same direction, which kills any hope of us ever progressing But - I am terrified what direction that may be. If it stops us being pulled further downwards, at a faster rate, then 2 warring factions may be a good thing
-
Wasn't Waggot the man who brought Eustace in ? From various rumours and hints it seems he had a problem with the rest of them behind the scenes and not particularly Waggot who was clearly being sidelined at that point. There has always seemed to be two factions wrestling behind the scenes at Ewood.

@aletheia I can go for plenty of that. I would say that the main overriding difference from my perspective is the necessity of seeing what transpires on the pitch first. Re “stuff”; Some of it has been questionable to say the least (he made someone cry? Come on ffs), and I just can’t fathom what people get out of putting it into a forum, when if some of it was as quantifiable as claimed, it would be in the news. If a colleague of mine said or did something similar to another colleague, I’d deal with it professionally, not leak it to someone to post online.
