  1. Past hour
  2. Yep, same fella that popped up on those Twitter live streams a few months ago defending the regime to the hilt.
  3. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/news/9169044.rebel-rovers-fans-set-fc-blackburn/# That’s the same bloke from this article. Now boasts about getting messages from Gestede on LinkedIn 🤡
  4. Let people like this believe what they want to believe.Apparently,so says this sage, there are no buyers for Rovers even after Venkys have refused offers. He wants football at the top end of the Championship?...meanwhile back in the real world!
  5. Anyway… doesn’t the social media reaction tell us exactly why the regime will be feeling pretty relaxed about it all this morning.
  6. I think its fair to say that when some people see a boycott being put in place that they automatically assume its for the team and poor results and don't actually understand the reasons why and just think that people are doing it because we arwnt winning. I think there's a column of fans that don't understand or see what's happened for the last 15 years. Some people go down there and don't follow anything on social media so are unaware of the background issues. There's various reasons why people won't boycott and alot of it is just generally being unaware of anything, that being said there's alot that do know.
  7. You could say that for Crawley, Duckett and Pope, but who is knocking on the door in county cricket? who are the openers/top order batsmen challenging those 3? I think this bit is where people misunderstand what Stokes and McCullum actually want changing it all again isn't what we need but I think keeping Key and McCullum would be wise and sensible move, with maybe Brook becoming Test captain would be way forward
  8. Definitely the latter. Season tickets will be £449 in the Blackburn End next season, and that will be the early bird offering.
  9. Demographics have changed quite a lot since 2010 (though yes, not like it was an ethnically homogenous and affluent town then either). However, the fanbase is still there just more disparte across Lancs and beyond.
  10. I wonder what his excuse is for the fact that attendances have dropped from c.20k to now measurably under 7k? Blackburn was a deprived town when the Venkys bought the club and it still is. The town was in the same catchment area. The demographics of the town in 2010 and 2025 I imagine are probably still extremely similar. Edit- also. Every single thing he has said there applies to Burnley FC (deprivation, location, small town, etc). Yet they were bought a few years back and are punching well above their weight. Even smaller town than Blackburn (though in reality, similar catchment area). Who would ever want to buy Burnley FC? Their history doesn't get close to ours, their ground is miles smaller than ours, their training facilities were worse than ours. But they're now backed by American owners and NFL players. Edit #2 - also, using attendance statistics over the last 50 years suits anyone who wants to make his argument that we should accept low attendances, because it includes the huge drop off in attendances in the 70s and 80s due to hooliganism which impacted every single team in Britain, it really skews the statistic downward. He hasn't gone back to the 1950s where the attendances were enormous, wonder why (appreciate there are other reasons why attendances were much bigger, but why pick and choose?).
  11. And that’s fine, but then you have to expect 6,000 plus bums on seats as it’s a Saturday 3pm.
  12. Ah I see, nobody will buy a Championship club if they happen to be situated in a town that’s poor (even though the majority of the fanbase doesn’t even live in it)
  13. I think the real crunch time for supporter boycotting and/or general apathy is going to be this summer. We just about flogged 8k season tickets, and now people are doing FOIs which show only 6k people are turning up to some matches, which includes away fans and walk-ons. Presumably then, for some matches, only 5k out of 8k STHs are attending. Every team inevitably loses a few attendees for TV/Night/weather factors, but not by that order of magnitude (a third). This isn't sustainable in the Championship, we must be getting the lowest attendances in league, discounting the large away followings that come to Ewood. My prediction is that this summer they will either have to slash ST prices to those similar at Preston and Bolton, or we are going to see a record low uptake. They must be panicking (or maybe they genuinely don't give a toss).
  14. The fact that the squad was built for 4-2-3-1, months of planning and a huge squad overhaul only to be totally abandoned after 8 games suggests that there is no real strategy in place.
  15. That to me reads that your reasoning is that we will win because we beat them last season. Why do you think we will win then when you know half the team from the 4-1 win has left and been replaced with players who aren't as good? Meanwhile Milwall sit 4th in the league?
  16. Woke up to this on Facebook, these idiots deserve the Venky's! mind numbing and so infuriating!
  17. I think they have gone for a 3pm Saturday fixture to maximise impact and exposure. A mid week fixture, a replayed midweek fixture on a cold and wet night, the reduced turn out can be more easily ‘justified’ by the stooges.
  18. Brave move by the coalition, the statements should be backed up by the LET/EJ, what have they to lose if they're banned already? Unfortunately, I don't think the messages will reach all supporters, and some who see them will ignore them. The attendances may be somewhat lower than usual but will go unnoticed in the grand scheme of things (weather, time of year, form etc) and it will be the regime blaming the fans once again, divide and conquer. I really hope the boycotts work and we get massive media coverage about this, sadly I don't think we will.
  19. We won't win, I know that much. Either 1-1 or 1-2 Millwall.
  20. Not as simple as that, everytime there's a home game you have to create a new freedom of information request & it's down to the police to provide that information within 4 weeks.
  21. sometimes you needed to change formation and pick up results. The squad was built for 4-2-3-1 formation and that changes results in good away wins.
  22. Club have already announced that anyone who bought a ticket for the first game will get free admission to the replay. Refunds if you can't make it won't be accepted however.
  23. @roversfan99 and @sharpysharps86 Don't you seriously think I don't what last season team was and this season team then you clearly don't know myself as poster then
  24. For the majority of Rovers fans, those who can see the Wood for the Trees, gimmicks simply wont work.
