v Watford (h) - 24/1/26

Still think we'll win today despite no rational reason, will be like a cup upset. Wouldn't surprise me if the club have given out hundreds of extra free tickets for this one as well. Whatever the result, the club and Venkyclappers will find a way to spin it against those who boycott, but take no notice. We all know that attendances in recent years have zero bearing on results at Ewood Park. -
1 - 1 11,270 announced attendance 6,890 actually in there including Watfords lot.

Boycott Or Not?

Are you going Gav?🤔 I have a Fence to Creosote in the Wind and Rain. -
I would say any other match is probably fair game but it won't work for the PNE game. I would probably follow a call to boycott it or walk out or whatever, but lots of fans will not, we can't even convince everyone to boycott a meaningless game against Watford, we've no chance of it succeeding in what is considered the most exciting game of the season. It will just cause more division. Also, there is no chance of PNE fans joining in a protest, like I said, they consider us a major rival. I couldn't be paid to join in a protest or boycott at B*rnley.
-
We have got more points at Ewood this season after falling behind than we have after taking the lead. 6 points after falling behind 4 points after taking the lead. Not much in it, but still.
-
Disagree- imo, today should be the start if we‘re serious. The action group should be talking to their trust and asking them join in. From what I’ve seen, it’s £38 for PNE in some parts of the Darwen End. Failing that, let them outnumber us on Sky. The cameras will pick up on the home ends being empty.

Venky’s (& Suhail) Out Protest Ideas

For the Harry Potter nerds, a Severus Snape type role. And when we’re free of this ownership people will name their kids Steve for generations to come, in recognition of his extraordinary sacrifice, torpedoing his own coaching career for the good of BRFC. In reality, I suspect he’s actually the Peter Pettigrew role, betraying Allardyce (James Potter) in servitude of the Dark Lord (Jerome Anderson)… who coincidentally rose back to power roughly 13 years after his disappearance 😳😳😳😳 -
If the calls are real, I can't fathom how they would draw any sympathy. The morality and legality of exposing these calls to the public domain is questionable, but it definitely shows what a clown show the club is. If that is actually Gestede 'negotiating' over Pears, he wouldn't get past the first round on The Apprentice, more embarrassment under Venkys.

Could turn out to be Steve Kean, and that he's been working undercover for 15 years to expose the Venkys, which meant he had to temporarily pose as a Premier League manager in order to get on the inside. That would be exciting. -
And Saints

I think we're best not doing anything for the PNE match. I don't personally consider it a glamorous fixture or a 'big derby' but lots of fans do and that definitely will sow division if there are calls to boycott, disrupt or do some kind of walk-in/out protest at that match specifically. Plus there will be 7,000 away fans lapping it up and laughing, because it is a 'massive derby' for them
-
When does the 'actual' attendance get released? Be interesting to see the difference with the 'official' one! Will be boycotting along with two others. Are there any plans for the PNE game - maybe going on 15 minutes later or something else?

The rumours that it's toxic, it feels pretty backstabbing toxic hah -
I felt absolutely zero sympathy, more disgusted at the negotiation abilities if legit and lack of professionalism.

Going off the number booking on the Accy supporters coach group chat (coach been going since the early 80s if not before! ) looks like quite a number have decided not to go today..although a few may just turn up without booking. Shame really the bus really needs the numbers to obviously continue and is a great lifeline to young and old to get to and from games but again this is something else the Venkys are slowly destroying ..sigh ...COYB!
-
Short term pain, for long term gain. Hurtful words on social media will be nothing if we get the club under different ownership.

Happy Boycott Start Day! Hopefully today’s the start of them selling the club. #EmptyEwood #NAPM

The calls I think were mostly tedious and quite boring from the few I listened to. No ammo there at all and actually probably only generate a degree of sympathy for the regime
-
I have 3 season tickets being left in the drawer today, I have never felt so disenfranchised. It genuinely bleeds my heart not going (not for the hierarchy, nor the owners of course, purely the club), no matter how much I hate the situation, its a routine for us but I am interested to see if this boycott results in anything so 100% voting with my feet.
-
You are correct I would imagine yes.
-
There are different ways of looking at it. What I would say is, people need to be careful with what they say online today. Playing guess who with names probably isn’t the best idea as I suspect the club’s legal team are on overtime. … then again, I’m not from a legal background myself.

Is the negotiator the diversion or is Rovers insider? Or are they both diversions…
