Re the bit in bold - the reference period for calculating the additional ESC places re percentage of EQP minutes is the previous three seasons (I only just picked up on this myself). Therefore, unless the rules change, we’d need to stay above 35% for 23-24,24-25 and this season combined to keep our entitlement to 4 places next year.

The EFL and its clubs wanted more money for TV rights and the only way to achieve this is more games for TV coverage. Its very simple concept to understand. No Its isn't a lie at all RF99, so stop talking total bollocks. they are setting off a couple of hours maybe even a hour. Its a 4 hours and half journey from Millwall to Rovers. So they would be setting off around 6.30am instead of 8am. That's not factoring possible accidents on the Motorway networks. Fans having notice allow them to book hotels, train travel(if that's your plan), possible day off work to book, etc. You wouldn't have to cos you don't work a night shift day or a job that involved working weekend like many football fans do.

When Mafoumbi arrived I don't think the plan was to look abroad for signings particularly Obviously Eustace was in charge and we all know the age/ profile of player he wanted and it wasn't foreigners. The change of thinking to overseas players has only happened this Summer

I still feel an appeal on Miyoshi would have a strong chance of success. The problem is it would take time for it to go through the appeal process, and in the meantime we wouldn't know if we could sign Baradji or whoever else.

The only reason he is being let go is because he has a slot - it’s inept from the club what will be more inept is if we sign koji miyoshi knowing we didn’t need to free up a spot if we signed him before he came on for Bochum over a week ago or we sign Baradji who I think is rudys top target and he’s not ready to kick a ball until oct/nov time so of the two positions were after only one slot available so one will need to meet the criteria and going by the summer recruitment so far I think their struggling

It is a lie. Why does giving notice negate the fact that away fans are having to set off at ridiculous hours, possibly before public transport can get them there? That justification has never arrived. I dont get why any fan would see 7 games at 12.30 as anything other than a bad thing for supporters.

I have sympathy for fans but this is why EFL and Sky tried to given fans plenty of notice of this fixture changes, This is why they brought this in. The PL and its teams doesn't need to play league games overseas given that The PL goes to America and the far east during pre season. Also given the revenue streams from the PL, other leagues don't generate that.

You can say practically anything on this message board, but it doesn't necessarily mean it is true 🙂 As with all other things 'factual' about Rovers, we will have to go on the announcements made by the club, rather than any speculative commentary (however well intentioned) from outside agents. However, if it is true, and Buckley gets to play in the coolest league in the world (based on sales of air conditioning units per capita), then good luck to him.
