  1. Past hour
  2. So you stuck by your convictions, for two days.
  3. No problem with them, but the question remains, surely they would take up an ESC slot if signed permanently? if this is the case then it seems unwise considering Rovers current transfer strategy involves bringing in players for the first team who in many cases need ESC slots. We would end up with another Mafoumbi situation. No issue at all if for some reason these kids wouldn't need ESC slots for whatever reason
  4. Sorry to be Owen Coyle but i'll do it for 50k plus perks and benefits. I won't hide down south either and i'll happily fly to Pune weekly if that's what it takes to sort this club out !
  5. TBF, experience of 15 years can do that to a person. But footy is footy so who knows what will happen.
  6. Today
  7. I make that 3 on trial now ? Personally don't have a problem with it, nothing ventured nothing gained. Let's see how they shape up
  8. You said Preston would bully us over the pitch aswell Trying to predict how games will go in the championship is nigh on impossible Our recent form isn't bad considering the injury issues we have, our last 9 games 4 wins 3 draws and 2 defeats Seeing the squad at the start of the season I expected us to be in the bottom 3 most the season and eventually get relegated.I think we have done alright certainly recently not to be thinking we are going to get beat in every game. Ipswich and Wrexham were both decent performances, we probably would have gone on to beat Wednesday and Oxford was a deserved draw.
  9. More gaslighting. More forcing the players into being human shields.
  10. Yep, that pesky weather, although embarrassing to Heads of, created a nice scapegoat for January.
  11. Cantwell -46 league games and 3 in cup. Conspiracy alive 🙂 5 home games until the end of January.
  12. A bit rich seeing as they still post on X imho..
  13. Welcome @AspRover and a lovely story. As I mentioned in the thread my grandad (who had no interest in football whatsoever) knew all about Bob Pryde and would refer to him as I was growing up in the 1990s. If my grandad knew who he was he must have been some player/personality! Dig out that cigarette card and send us a picture 🙂
  14. Have to agree there.Totally against personal abuse but do this lot think they are above criticism on fan websites? Ewood Burns but they want to warn the fans just like they have done with the coalition members probably? Doesn't feel right.
  15. On loan Rovers U21 player James Edmondson wins FA Cup goal of the round
  16. Ismael has got a slight problem on his hands now, as he's already praised the impact of Cantwell and has recently been signing the praises of Mori. He's probably going to have to try and accommodate both of them. If Cantwell is fit to start (don't see why he wouldn't be now), how will he line up so get them both on the pitch? ---------------Pears -----Miller--McLoughlin--Pratt Alebiosu----------------------Ribeiro --------Tronstad---Cantwell ---------------Mori ------Gudjohnsen--Ohashi I think that's what he'll end up doing.
  17. We need a win we need a win if tronstad is back and Cantwell is back we may just get a win!!
  18. I know the club does read this message board and I want to make it very clear, for the £400k a year salary I am happy to be a low responsibility CEO/fall guy
  19. If its the bold option, it would be an early xmas prezzie for us, one less talon on the club
  20. Maybe wishful thinking but I wonder if Suhail has decided he doesn't fancy the limited amount of criticism (or in Club speak "abuse") finally coming his way and has retired hurt back to India? To either direct operations from even further in the background or pursue opportunities elsewhere in the Venky's organisation. Could that explain the renewal of the search for a new "CEO" with no actual authority?
  21. Whatever he does or doesn't get, he obviously doesn't mind. He's been doing it long enough without resigning or speaking out against them at any point.
  22. Yeah, from a Venky's point of view it's a " Look the hierarchy who were here before us approve of us" type thing.
  23. He does seem to have been wheeled out this season in a far more prominent front of house role in his club tie. They must think that adds some kind of sheen of respectability and normality to their dysfunctional set up.
  24. Pretty sure he isn't on the payroll at Rovers, so any perks he gets must be along the lines of comps, a free lunch and the status of being a 'director' although I'm not sure that really carries much prestige or weight in the world these days given the types we've had in the Ewood boardroom in recent years. Does he do anything with the FA anymore? Can't imagine there's that much benefit to being involved there. I'd just imagine/hope that a 70 something year old bloke, closely involved back in the days when we were a respectable and professional club, who surely isn't short of a few quid, would perhaps decide that a comfy seat upstairs isn't worth the hassle and more importantly the support and legitimisation he gives to a regime actively dismantling what was once a proud club People surprise you though.
