It's true, a lot happened after Gudjonson's mistake, but if he controls as he should do, the rest doesn't happen. Probably our best chance led to a goal for Swansea. -

I’m coming back up north for this one. Mainly because the wife’s away and don’t think I’ve got the ability to look after a baby and a toddler by myself so will seek refuge with the grandparents. There’ll be 3 generations at Ewood in my dad, me and my eldest. Pity the latest generation won’t get to experience what I got to in my youth (any time soon anyway). Unfortunately I haven’t watched Rovers win at home for a few years now (not through a lack of trying, just unlucky). Hopefully that spell can be broken but I don’t have my hopes up. I’m normally more glass half full but struggling to see how we survive this season at the moment. -

Must win against Stoke on Saturday to stop the rot, the run of games after that is really tough. Ismael appears untouchable regardless of results so we just have to hope he gets it all to click together before its too late. -

Ismael et al are blind to the fact that the players are full of mistakes, and the majority aren’t good enough to play at this level, so the default position is to blame others such as the referee, the EFL and the Telegragh etc. -

Good signing but he won't be able to save us from relegation

By end of November, my prediction is we will be firmly rock bottom and we won't be able to get out of it. Relegation is staring at us in the face. If we goes down this time round, we'll be down there for a very long time. -

In terms of technical quality we probably have a better set of players than when we were last relegated, that was a really awful team. But its a different game when you're low on confidence and scrapping three games a week. Then you need players who are physical, motivated, bonded as a team and dig out results. I cant see any sign of that. -

It could be argued that our best centre back partnership both left the club this summer 😉 -
I am not particularly keen on Gestede but surely the main question is how has a guy who joined on work experience and with nothing on his CV about running a football club ended up running ours? I still - even with Venkys total incompetence and disengagement, cant wrap my head around that one. Until we answer that one we can all want Gestede replaced but they will just make another terrible appointment.

It's all a bit boring isn't it? The fans have no desire, the team has no desire (apart from maybe Cantwell and Tronstad who do look as though they play for the badge), the board certainly has no desire. It's verging on what's even the point in any of it????? - Today

Ismael being sacked is a fanciful notion but it isn't going to happen. He is one of the Holy Trinity and just about wedded to the other two as you can be. -

Another hugely disappointing result at 'Fortress Ewood' for the hardy souls that turned up. I really think that had we gone in 1-0 up at half-time we would have gone on to win it. Their equaliser, which was a terrific strike, should have been stopped at source. Franco had the freedom of the penalty area to score. That clearly gave them a lift and rocked our fragile confidence. In terms of actual play I thought we lacked any real tempo in our first half play but scoring the first goal is usually important in the Championship but we are doing our best to ruin that statistic. In the second half we played with a bit more zest without really creating anything. The winning goal was embarrassing from our point of view. Our right winger is on the left hand side, gets into a mix up with our centre half and Swansea counter with pace. What annoyed me was that Kargbo didn't make any attempt to track back and utilise his one asset, his pace. Unforgivable. We were denied an absolutely clear penalty and had a couple of half chances but trudging off Ewood after another defeat is a feeling I'm getting used to. In terms of our play we were a lot better than we were on Saturday (a low bar though) but our propensity to give away cheap goals bit he on the backside again. The game reminded me so much of the Birmingham match and if Ismael doesn't address this soon we will be in a real scrap, something that too many of our players don't seem to have the stomach for. -

Its going to be a long season, we don't look like scoring, we are giving away poor goals, we don't have particularly good options off the bench. Who would have thought getting rid of loads of Championship experience and not replacing it would have caused such issues. -

They didn't get rid of Coyle until February. February. This mon won't be going anywhere, especially with his 3 year deal and alignment. Remember lesson number one under this regime - football results and performances are irrelevant. Have been since day one. -
Too soft with conceding goals - needs to stop - then again, spine of the team has changed. Our best centre back partnership not clear yet?
