  1. Past hour
  2. This. None of us have any idea whether it will work. If it doesn't work, then just have to move on and think of something else. There will be some who sneer and go "ha told you it wouldn't work". But that's not a reason to not even try a boycott. It has been more effective at some clubs than others, let's just try it as a one-off at Ewood and see what happens. If you've been going for ten, twenty, fifty years, at some point you have probably missed a match to go to a wedding or on holiday or through illness. The sky didn't fall in. Just try missing one game en-masse as a warning to the owners and let's put the ball in their court.
  3. and not protesting will encourage them to sell I suppose? So what's your point----do nothing?
  4. we are apparently linked with wrexhams ryan hardie, good reliable centre forward but highly doubtful he`ll come here on the measly wages we pay
  5. When did I say he was the best thing since sliced bread? Another one who goes OTT and used words no-one has said to suit yourself
  6. What are you going on about again. Ive been more than open and honest with my stance whilst respecting yours whilst you dont with mine and others who will choose to attend games, vack the players and club, etc. Will it tho? How would we know? That's your opinion. We lost 15k STH and nothing changed, why now?.
  7. millwall recruited very well in the summer and are a formidable side this season, another painful saturday imo, beaten by two set pieces and we hardly trouble their backline
  8. Might aswell not go if all we gonna do is stand on the concourse
  9. I was asked my opinion and gave it. You have protests every game post match at the start, meetings with the FA, EFL, PL and the Sports minister, 15k STH walk away, relegation from the PL and even the Championship to League 1, offers to buy the club supposedly a few times, yet they are still here. So no I dont have the magical answers, do you?
  10. Nope, went from wanting to sack him after 5 games to Ismael being the best thing since sliced bread. Gone a bit quiet on him recently and no wonder. But the weather/injuries/referees..........etc
  11. I like how the ‘early 80s’ is referring to the 1880s.
  12. Nobody knows if this will work until it has been tried. Unless you are willing to join in and give it a go to see if this will be effective then your opinion on the matter is invalid.
  13. I feel you're being obstinate for the sake of it there. Obviously, a massive boycott by ST holders won't affect income levels for THIS season but a regular 5k home fans attending for the remainder would surely raise eyebrows in India at the very least. And if the boycott continued into next season come renewal time then that's the time it would really bite and possibly force their hand.
  14. You keep telling us why various things won't work in your opinion, but you're not coming up with any alternative suggestions of your own to improve things - just pouring cold water on everything.
  15. How much is being the reduction given people have ST and most walk.ons will have already purchase their tickets for Saturday game?
  16. On the NAPM stance, that's a personal choice and each person will decide what they want to do. I will my own decisions on that. I respect people making their own decisions on attending games or not. Its not easy choice but it's a personal one I dont think much will change personally with owners over this stance/letter from the coalition. Venkys have shown they are very stubborn people and dont like being told what to do. I dont see that. I can see them appointing a CEO very soon with Pasha staying in India. That wouldn't surprise me
  17. You don’t even ‘repeatedly slam’ this clown we have in now.
  18. don`t know why the coalition are asking us all to boycott,it`s already began has`nt it??? you will never get a complete boycott, there are many people who go for the social outing and the saturday (or whatever day) ritual, imo you need to get at pasha and gestede with a bit of matchday disobediance.i.e everyone gather in the concourses and don`t go into the stand
  19. They were really rattled by not hitting ST revenue targets down Ewood so the idea that they're not bothered about the lack of income is false because they clearly are.
  20. So you don't believe that a considerable reduction in gate revenue would make any difference? Imo, not hitting their targets in terms of ST revenue and matchday revenue is the only thing that gets them twitchy.
  21. I'm not negative, I'm looking forward to Saturday, are you ?
  22. My brother has worked in India for decades, he said years ago there's no way will they be forced into anything, in fact quite the opposite, protesting is more likely to make them dig their heels in. Protesting won't make them sell,it certainly hasn't had any effect up to now despite the thousands staying away. I'm not going to criticise those who stay away, but I'll certainly be taking my place at home games. The Venkys will sell up when they're ready and not before.
  23. Today
  24. I can’t believe I purchased a ST with my hard earned money and I ain’t the only one who’s done that. I just don’t know what to do, go to games so that my money doesn’t go to “waste” or boycott like everyone else (including non ST holders). Tough spot but if it’s for the future of this club, I’ll happily not go. 100% not renewing my ST next season. Until these clowns get out of our club, I will not renew my ST.
  25. A point very well made, Wilsden. I want to attend but I will boycott in an effort to save our club and end 15 years of desecration of Blackburn Rovers.
  26. He is indeed excellent. I’ve seen him a few times, the last at Lytham Festival a couple of years ago. I know Joe Cocker’s brother Vic, who somewhat bizarrely was Chief Executive at Severn Trent Water for a number of years. I could never get him to talk about Joe though. All he would say is that “he’s his own man”.
