  1. Past hour
  2. I thought he often played there for Legia? Regardless, he's still better than De Neve.
  3. Jesus, you poor sod. 2010? You've just seen shit.
  4. The same legal team that we spent tens of thousands of pounds with on the McGuire case?
  5. Barry Bannan leaving. wouldn't mind in coming. Walk into our midfield since we are so poor as creating.
  6. Probably through one of the Sport England or Football Foundation pots. Given our Championship status we wouldn't qualify for many of the stadium and facilities grants on offer. Give it a few years though ...
  7. Tbf I think RoverDom was suggesting the calls would draw sympathy because they've been released publicly when the calls would have been considered private at the time - as opposed to the actual (largely banal) content.
  8. i just want rovers to be well run, like they used to be,promotion is a bonus but it would`nt matter to me if we were as skint as we were in the 80`s just as long as those running the club were doing it for the benefit of blackburn rovers.thats not been the case for the last 15 years
  9. Based on the Gestede calls, we’d be offered £250k and by the time Rudy had finished we’d be receiving £125k.
  10. I think they’re saying just enough for us to have no idea what they’re saying 🤔 The alternative is I’m stupid - it could well be that one 😄😄
  11. Good point Is it possible that its not an option to buy, but is instead an obligation to buy after he makes 20 appearances? That would make more sense Edit - I really should have read your whole post before I replied
  12. This seems like a very strange clause to me, if it's optional. Yverdon wanted a sale. They've no reason to care whether he played 20 games for us. We should prefer the freedom to decide regardless of games played and have no reason to ask for that clause. Given both parties knew he would be out for months to begin with, it seems even stranger. The only way I can see it is if it isn't an option but an obligation. Rovers were known to change their mind on buying once the injury was revealed. 20 games would likely demonstrate he was over it, and give Yverdon some security over getting the money if he was as good as they thought he was, rather than us just using him as a (presumably) cheap loan. I guess there's one other way I can see it - if the player's side insisted on it. I guess he could be reluctant to be bought fairly cheaply just to be a backup player.
  13. Desperately hoping this is the first step in ridding ourselves of this ownership. It's been 15 years, quite frankly we've been incredibly patient but it feels we are definitely at a point of no return with Venkys. They're done, there is no getting the fans back on side, our relationship, not just with them but with the whole hierarchy is fractured beyond repair. Rovers is our club, not theirs. It's time to take it back. As final note, if this boycott isn't as successful as hoped (in terms of empty seats) we can't be too down hearted, it's just the first step and the longer this ownership keeps dragging us down, the more people will follow with action.
  14. This weekends games for our loanees TBA - 3pm kick offs Barrett - score/update Edmondson - score/update Wood - score/update On the bench - Not involved in matchday squad - No game this weekend Duru - play 4th Feb
  15. You could say I’m part of the newer generation. First game was against Arsenal back in 2010 I think it was. What a win that was. Since then I’ve been a season ticket holder. All I wanted to see was rovers win matches and be successful like we were in the 1990s and so on. My mum would always tell me about rovers back then and how good they were and possibly the best team in England. It’s hard to miss a game as I am young and still have that fiery emotion inside of me. But I have made the decision to boycott today and not renew my season ticket for next season until venkys and co have gone.
  16. Or, much closer to home, the Lancashire cotton famine
  17. He's right footed and sooooooo slow.
  18. the windy and cold weather will add a few more to the boycott today, lets hope the crowd is below 5000
  19. So are they saying that the negotiator is a diversion tactic from the inside??
  20. Prior to last night, he was being use about a similar amount to how Gueye was used for us (before he was dropped from our squad completely Those look the minutes of a guy surplus to requirements rather than someone being eased back from injury (last night excluded) https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/daryl-dike/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/638741/plus/0?saison=2025&verein=&liga=&wettbewerb=&pos=&trainer_id=
  21. I always thought that the only way to get rid of these owners was with people power and voting with a few no shows, let's hope today gains that traction. I also hope it would still be happening if we were having a half decent season as nothing is going to change until this cancer is gone!
  22. Today
  23. Hope you've got the Riverside to yourself.
  24. Before I get into this post I'll spell it out because I know the first reply will probably be "Are you comparing protesting against Venkys to ending apartheid in South Africa?" No, obviously, even if Venkys might be harder to get rid of. A common retort against the protests is "They won't even know it's happened", and that always makes me think of the Dunnes Store ladies in Ireland. They started a protest against selling South African grapefruits that everyone said was useless, how can 10 ladies in Ireland not selling grapefruits end apartheid. It took a while but through a chain of events started by 1 person seeing their protest their persistence led to Ireland being the first country to ban the import and sale of all goods from South Africa which triggered others to follow suit and started an economic meltdown that helped end the regime. David Nihill covers it brilliantly. So, to those boycotting the match today, talking to the press, talking to their mates ... you don't know who is going to see it, you don't know who they are going to tell and you don't know who's going to be our Nimrod.
  25. Life only normally allows me to get back up for a couple of home games a season with my girls - and its an opportunity to visit family at the same time. We'd planned in this weekend to be one of those weekends a while ago. However, we're still very much in Sussex today. will be at QPR away - but not sure when we'll get to Ewood next now. Hope today can make a difference.
