The January 2026 Transfer Window

Who is going to sign Gueye ? - Today

We will be fine, just need to play a five goalkeepers formation....

The U21s management couldn't muster the full squad for the game again. With more youngsters getting promoted in a desperate bid to stave off relegation, others heading out on loan or getting injured, I can't imagine many more points being earned by the side. It's disappointing because there's some promising players in there that could do with more support.

Doing well with a team stripped of it's two best forwards who were responsible for the vast majority of their goals last season. Lost their captain and goalkeeper as well Maybe we just have to (begrudgingly for some) accept that he might be a good coach - perhaps he can read a game better than he can play one! Would explain all the pointing 😉 -

We had one. People used it to sarcastically react to posts they didn't agree with. -

Especially if it involved bigging up the current recruitment "operation" and using it to criticise Eustace. -

Forgetting the Gallagher obsession, as I dont get why anytime you mention Gueye you bring Gallagher into it, I must have missed these large parts of the season that you mention with Gueye. Gueye is absolutely awful. He is technically as bad a player as I can remember here and thats saying something, he doesnt seem to understand the offside rule and hes bone idle. Ismael is a poor manager but banishing Gueye is one of the things that he has done right. Good riddance. - Yesterday

Sheff Weds fans didn't know whether a boycott would definitely work, but they went ahead with it and it seems to have helped. Leicester City fans largely boycotted their most recent home game. They won't have known what the outcome of that will be. But they've given it a go. It got a lot of attention, let's see what happens. We have absolutely nothing to lose by boycotting one single match. What is the worst that would happen? You might miss our 3rd home win of the season in a season of rubbish and misery in a relegation scrap? So what? It's one game out of the years, decades you've been going. No one knows what the outcome will be of a boycott, but let these owners know how you feel. The boycott might not make the owners sell but the cost of trying is so small and meaningless that I can't understand why it's not worth just trying.

A lot of Burnley fans seem very unhappy tonight that they wasted time and tried to play for the draw rather than go for the win. Parker still on the precipice it feels

Elliot Jackson reporting no contact has been made from Everton for Ryan alebiosu as we have a strong hand if any suitors were to come forward. -
That's not necessarily true. They could simply cut costs irrespective of the damage that would do. Its not as if they care what division we are in is it?

Yeah he looked like an upgrade at first but to be fair he was signed for a different system than we have now. A shame and best all round he moves on asap now. -

Yet for large parts of last season Gueye looked considerably better than Gallagher who stole a wage for many seasons here. Hope he goes on to find some success elsewhere. Him and Ismael was always going to be a marriage made in hell. -

Big Mak, Ennis, Telovic, Dennis (loan) and probably someone else easily forgotten. How much is that in fees, agent fees and wages flushed straight down the bog for no return ? Yet they won't pay some solid players a better wage nor sign another striker with a bit of UK pedigree for a fee. Knobs, it's ok saying oh they're only cheap punts or loans but it all costs money, a fair chunk when it's all added up. -

We really do need a 😂 reaction on this site. -
Support the boycott? Fancy being part of a video montage? Send in a clip of yourself saying 'i am boycotting the Watford match' or something similar to iamboycotting@hotmail.com

Let’s hope so, personally I’d just see them using it as an excuse to further cut costs and mothball/sell off the infrastructure we have left. A Wigan-esque lower league club. We’ll find out either way as BRFC will end up in League 1 sooner rather than later and ST sales will continue to decline.
-
I think even for these owners, there will be a point of critical mass that we're rapidly approaching. Imo losses exceeding a certain prescribed level that they're prepared to go to will be the only thing that shifts them. They certainly dont seem to mind being unpopular.

I hope the Mak goes on to have a rewarding career in football elsewhere. If anyone could exemplify the sheer ineptitude of the current management structure and its decision making, Makhtar Gueye would be a prime example of what is wrong with our club. Talk about fooking 'hit and hope' - unfortunately for our recruitment 'experts' the lad struggled to hit, and didn't really have any hope of doing justice to his alloted shirt. It's Rovers all over, at the moment though, sadly - hit and sodding hope. Pass me the gin. -
Grealish got a second yellow for applauding the referee after getting a free kick, Everton fans seem annoyed but it’s bloody stupid from Grealish who then got in the ref’s face after.

Just my opinion, I think it’s a step they’ll back away from. Time will tell, I suppose. By the way, you are falling in to that trap of thinking these are normal owners. You’re not going to get them out by losing a couple more thousand ST holders either, as losing twelve thousand of them under their watch has shown. Boycott or no boycott we’ll be considerably down on ST holders next season and they will still be here .
