  1. Past hour
  2. I am not sure how Miller is replacing Sanderson, surely he and McLoughlin replace (downgrade) on Hyam and Batth.
  3. If you've bought my books you have both my thanks and my sympathy for having to read what I write. But my thanks are genuine. I haven't been ignoring your questions for any other reason other than it's not something I'm prepared to engage in. Health issues over the past two years have made me realise that life for too short to engage in endless debates about things over which I have no control. I love watching Rovers, and hope to do so for a good while longer, God willing, but that's as far as it goes. I'm happy to post about matches and players that I've watched but that's it. I hope you can understand and respect my point of view on this.
  4. Its was a late and reckless tackle
  5. I've been a bit ambivalent in recent times, for reasons which I suspect a few others share. But the obvious injustice of the first match has made this a bit of a grudge match and one I really hope we win. It's a shame that it'll be in front of 10k-12k, as it's the exact kind of game that a decent crowd would give us an edge for,
  6. If it's a non contact sport.
  7. The f*ckload of injuries won't help either. Ipswich are playing a different team on Tuesday.
  8. Or that tackle from behind that’s put Tronstad out of our next few games. That wasn’t even deemed a foul, never mind a card.
  9. red card all day long
  10. var in this country has to many unqualified hands in the biscuit tin, just let the refs referee and use it for disputed penalties and/or goalline incidents,it`s used far to much for incidents referees should be deciding
  11. You're being uncharacteristically antagonistic and trying to get a rise out of me for some reason. Not playing.
  12. We'll have to agree to disagree there then. I can't stand Hedges but didnt think it was a foul nor did he do anything wrong in that particular instance. However I think whether he did or didn't do anything wrong is virtually irrelevant and completely secondary to the fact we need to defend the free kick properly.
  13. Today
  14. Just make it a tenner, and when you email the advertising mail out to your customer database just advertise it as “tell your friends”. That way i might tell 3 people at work who all go for a tenner, rather than the one I could bring with the current offer. And I give that about 20 seconds thought.
  15. It absolutely won't I'm afraid. As @Tom, this is the most inevitable loss you can imagine. If the footballing gods are feeling particularly mischievous, it'll be the result we point to when we are relegated.
  16. Fair enough, but why does it need connecting to your ST? You would tell him anyway if it was a tenner and the vast majority of folk that do follow the club via the Telegraph, social media, email, the internet in general can just get one without fannying about trying to find a ST Holder to buy them one.
  17. I can tell you for a fact that my mate would definitely not have known, had I not told him .
  18. Nonsense. It’s the Wrexham match thread. Many posters, including me, enjoyed our performance at Wrexham. Or is that “waxing too lyrical” for you?
  19. Lets hope so cos home form need improving quickly.. We are set up to play away from home. Hence why our away form so good. If we taken our early chances yesterday game is over before that free kick Cos anything could happy. Players could adapt and form improves or we get everyone back fit and stay fit. Also League is wide open
  20. Think Alebiosu and Brittain is close one and Im a massive Brittain fan. Miller and Sanderson similar Think Morishita and Dolan could be close one given time
  21. With respect Rev I think you’re a bit off track there. The discussion was about whether Hedges was “stupid” to make the challenge. Some think he was and some of us disagree. I don’t think anyone would say we don’t have a duty to defend any free kick awarded whether it’s a correct decision or not. I do agree with your last sentence though
  22. It's a perfectly fair and straightforward question to ask. Hypothetically, is it trolling to wax too lyrical about a team that can regularly produce a decent away performance but repeatedly stinks the place out at Ewood? (Not something I'd accuse Parson of btw as I know he is genuine in his opinions but there are others)
  23. A question that sounds a lot like trolling. One can despair at the state of a club but enjoy a decent 90 mins effort from a team. I did.
  24. Anyone watching Chelsea v Arsenal? Caiceido given an extremely harsh red by VAR imo. In real time was a fraction late with a studs down tackle and caught the Arsenal player on the top of the foot. The ref (Anthony Taylor) gave a yellow onfield which was perfectly adequate imo but VAR as usual got involved un necessarily, and told him to go over to the monitor. Of course it looked far worse in slow motion and Taylor upgraded to a red. When you compare that with the challenge on Baradji at Preston which caught him studs up half way up his calf/shin it's like watching 2 completely different sports.
  25. Errrrr.....targetted marketing, email, social media, the website, the local press. Just like how most other things get advertised.
  26. All the rain is tomorrow by the looks of things so by time Tuesday night comes it will be fine.
