tony gale's mic
I've got a feeling that Moko will get the axe if it's serious. Even if it's not, the principle of it all, I am utterly livid right now.
Tim Southampton Rover
David James gives ANOTHER penalty away against France. Typical. Ribery 1-
herbergeehh
I knew it. On a brighter note, McCarthy headed home from a Surprise cross. (no pun needed!) Edited March 26, 2008 by den
tony gale's mic
We've looked comfortable till that point but lacked inspiration going forward. Beckham has looked competent but you do think Bents could do a much better job out there. Real shame aswell to see another over officious ref. Yes taking your shirt off is a yellow but he was revealing a tribute to someone who had just died, and it's a friendly match. Was that really necessary? herbergeehh
Dire football from England. Don't really blame Capello though, he's put a team together in a formation likely to be played away to France. But when you let Anelka run like that, defensive control elsewhere doesn't do it. Bentley on in the 2nd half, please. Where's Ashley Young, by the way?
Exiled_Rover
Ashley Young was deemed not 'big 4' enough.
Tim Southampton Rover
Half time Very dull England performance. Hopefully being 1-0 down will give the lads a bit of a kick up the bum.
herbergeehh
Ashley Young was deemed not 'big 4' enough. Surprised to see that, along with Bentley probably the most exciting youngster coming through. But if he's right side only (?) Beckham took his place, I guess. Tim Southampton Rover
4 players coming on for England in second half. Fingers crossed for Bentley!

tony gale's mic
Rooney, Gerrard, Terry and Joe Cole coming off Crouch, Downing, Owen and Lescott This is ridiculous.
Tim Southampton Rover
What will happen is Becks will come off with 15 mins to go, Bentley will replace him. England will have no decent players left on the pitch to do anything and Bentley will be considered 'not the answer' as he didn't do anything. Grabbi Graeme
Crouch, Owen, Lascott and Downing???? on John Terry apparently injured, Rooney off as well ( no doubt ordered by Sir Fergie) Gerrard and J Cole off as well
Tim Southampton Rover
Becks might as well play right back as he's letting Wes Brown run down the right side and he's just sitting deep every time. It's obvious he isn't fit enough to play as he hasn't played a competitive game in 1/4 of a year.
philipl
Just switched it off. I see Laugherty is like Healy- dynamite for Northernm Ireland, rubbish everywhere else.
RovertheHill
Oh good - Crouch is on. Even more long ball than the first half. How exciting
Tim Southampton Rover
Looks like Bentley will be on soon. Hopefully Bentley can score for England and become the best player on the planet after signing a new contract at half time and signing for 10 years. Ahem. He'll probably replace Becks. Tim Southampton Rover
Is it just me or has Owen Hargreaves not had a good game since the World Cup? He has bundles of energy but he doesn't actually do anything but give away freekicks.
Tim Southampton Rover
We're passing it around like we're 4-0 up. FFS this performance is diabolically dull.
RovertheHill
Doesn't look like anyone wants the ball half the time. Add Stuart Downing (and Wes Brown) to the list of players who seem unable to make the step up to international level from the premiership
