Can't we send him on loan to someone like Blackpool? Sure they'd be delighted to get a player of his quality. If he had a great season with them it would push his value up if nothing else. He's not going to get many chances at Rovers this year - but who knows in the future.

As an Oxford Rover, we could certainly use him at the Kasaam

heard from a contact at man city, that they're hoping to sign Vedran Corluka, a centre-back from shaktar, by the end of this week. he's due in the country today apparantly. he's awesome on football manager, if that counts for anything.

Donetsk just seriously upset Man City by signing Castillo by offering more money. The Shakhtar player City want is Elano, but they could be trying for two. I will check.

Anything is possible there right now.

Smith met Middlesbrough last night. Newcastle, Everton and Villa were waiting in the wings.

Now I hear West Ham want to join in too.

You're right about addictive.

Gudjohnsen would be one of the best signings made by any Premiership club this summer. Now he is a class act. Big fee, big wages and big ego. But, so what.

It's all in the branding Nicko! Smith was seen as great for leeds and therefore he still is in some managers eyes.

Fairplay to Utd for finding a team or 2 stupid enough to bid that high. Don't forget his goal scoring record is playing for a couple of teams with every strong teams as well. So things can only get worse.

my advice.....ring your local paper and ask to do some work experience.

sports reporting is difficult to get into, so youre best to start with news/ local interest stories. dull though.
