Billy Castell Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 Chimbonda is a right tempramental so and so isn't he? Not the sort of player a struggling team with little team spirit needs. And where does that leave Hutton and that youngster Gunter in the squad?

And where does that leave Hutton and that youngster Gunter in the squad? I can see harry getting Spurs relegated at this rate. Perhaps Tottenham have to buy Chimbonda if they want to sign Jones...
Hughesy Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 Chimbonda and jones then? Sunderland could be in big trouble, just like Pompey!!
ffan Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 Chimbonda and jones then? Sunderland could be in big trouble, just like Pompey!! No SSN say they have agreed a deal to sign just Chimbonda but i wouldn't be surprised to see jones end up there.

Hughesy Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 West ham about to spend £9m on a 19 year old German striker from Brescia in seria B.
Majiball Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 West ham about to spend £9m on a 19 year old German striker from Brescia in seria B. Young Savio per chance? A very promising kiddo, but 9M seems steep, surely they need a bit more experience in a relegation scrap.
Kelbo Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 Young Savio per chance? A very promising kiddo, but 9M seems steep, surely they need a bit more experience in a relegation scrap. But where are they getting the money from!!! I thought they were in a bit of financial turmoil at the moment
Majiball Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 But where are they getting the money from!!! I thought they were in a bit of financial turmoil at the moment I suppose from Bellamy et al. But even then they are on the verge of administration according to some, and they can still out spend us. I give up figuring out football finances, I swear they must have the most creative accountants in the world.
67splitscreen Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 Why the **** would Feyenoord want Tony Adams. This has to be the snort of a lifetime.
Majiball Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 BBC gossip O'Neill wants sturridge and Johnson for 10M, two players that I would love to see in blue N white halves. Bruce to bid 6M for Ledley. Given gone to City, please be a sell-on.
67splitscreen Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 Trouble at mill (turd moor) Defoe?????? Was he registered
philipl Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 I am quite certain that other clubs that signed players during the January window did not play them in the second leg of the League Cup semi-final. Anyone got any examples?
Hughesy Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 Cudicini at Tottenham's training ground - so obviously that rules out Harper joining them!
Blue n White Rover Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 Cudicini signed for Spurs. Another bizarre one, Carlton Cole is a target for Juventus. If i'm correct didn't Ranieri give him his Chelsea debut?
thenodrog Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 Trouble at mill (turd moor) Defoe?????? Was he registered I raised the point a few times in conversation last week that it seemed mighty unfair that Defoe was allowed to play. The fact that he played a part in the first goal and scored the second emphasises his contribution. I think if proven that the tie must be awarded to Burnley and Spurs chucked out rather tha the tie being replayed given similar situations in the past, but it's unlikely that the authorities would want to come down on the side of the dingles given the moneymaking potential of a spuds v Utd final

thenodrog Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 Burnley would make them quite a bit too though as fans would be desperate to go to Wembley for their "day in the sun" ( probably chuck it down but you know what I mean) They'd take a few that for sure but advertising, merchandising and corporate hospitality income would suffer greatly imo.
Blue n White Rover Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 If the FA did decide to change the result would the default result be 2-0 or 3-0? If it is 2-0 then the 1st leg result would still stand and therefore Burnley still getting knocked out. Anyone know what the default result would be?
BlueWhiteDynamite Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 If the FA did decide to change the result would the default result be 2-0 or 3-0? If it is 2-0 then the 1st leg result would still stand and therefore Burnley still getting knocked out. Anyone know what the default result would be? Played a player they shouldn't in the semi final = kicked out of the tournament. A semi final is a 2 leg game but 1 result so they would have to be kicked out. Its kind of like saying well he only played 20 mins, the FA couldnt take away the last 20 min and say well thats 0-0 for that time. If Burnley make a claim against it though, the FA would have to look into it quickly (not the 10 months they usually take!!) and financial income wouldn't matter. Im sure the papers would make a huge deal of it, if it was even slightly true.
Presty On Tour Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 Sturridge and Ledley would be good. Ledley won't leave Cardiff this season, not while there's a chance of promotion. He was offered big money by bigger clubs last season and turned them down. Cardiff have a brand new stadium ready for next season and their priority is to go up this season, so there is no chance of offloading their best players. Hopefully Swansea will beat them in the play off final though.
philipl Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 Looking like Arsenal have finally captured Arshavin. At some point in the second half of the season, Arsenal will be back to thrashing opposition for fun.
