USRoverME Posted January 28, 2008 Posted January 28, 2008 I don't understad the Benni comments... If's he's playing and happy, some want him gone because he's not giving effort. If he's not playing and complainnig, people want him gone because he's a "distraction. If he's not playing and silent, people expect him to go because ... well I'm not sure why.... What exactly is the guy supposed to do? Or is this jsut the case of Rovers fans running the best scorer we've has since SAS out of town out of spite?

they_think_its_all_rover Posted January 28, 2008 Posted January 28, 2008 I don't know. but how would they get here in time to have a medical and sign by Thursday? Just seen this; BBC SPORT NATIONS CUP SURVEY Clubs with scouts in Ghana: Man Utd, Arsenal, Chelsea, Everton, Aston Villa, Man City, Blackburn, Spurs, Newcastle, Reading, Boro, Bolton, Wigan, Fulham, Derby Clubs with no scouting representation: Liverpool, West Ham, Birmingham, Portsmouth, Sunderland Reading have just bought a player from Mali... so it must be possible; http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...ing/7213790.stm
Presty On Tour Posted January 28, 2008 Posted January 28, 2008 i read earlier we were linked with simon "digger" davies. he used to play in the james williams pembrokeshire league where i play my football and i played against him many seasons ago along with mark delaney. perhaps hughes should come and have a look at me play in midfield or up front . i could do a job for rovers and the transfer wouldn't cost a penny on saturday we were playing monkton swifts and their striker was one on one with our keeper, he took it round him and rolled it into the empty net so he thought and ran off celebrating. the fact the ball got stuck in a goal mouth puddle about a yard from the goal line was just pure class!
they_think_its_all_rover Posted January 28, 2008 Posted January 28, 2008 There are a couple of Championship sides in the bidding...Rovers made an inquiry to say they are interested and want to be told if he is going before Thursday. It's a live one. I think they will go in if a rival bid is accepted...then they have to make a decision whether to match it. Who are the Championship teams? EDIT: If you can't tell us... how about... are they (as Barrymore used to say) top, middle or bottom? (ish in the league?)
budha Posted January 28, 2008 Posted January 28, 2008 Fulham have signed Toni Kallio apparently. Yep, Finnish national team left back. Used to play as forward, then as a centre back, but was converted to a left back a few years ago. Has been a sub for the Swiss team Young Boys for 11 months, played in Norwegian second highest level at Molde before that for few years. Was about to transfer to Russian league, but the the Russian team had to back down due to lack of funds. Can't see him bringing anything to the table Konchesky already hasn't brought. Might be an inch taller than Konchesky Might get an appearance or two from the bench, but that's probably it. Unless Woy has started to use drugs, isn't more than a decent Championship-level player.
Exiled_Rover Posted January 28, 2008 Posted January 28, 2008 FIFA are making a decision on Cousin in the morning. It's the old three-clubs-in-a-season situation. Seems Jon Stead can do it, but everyone else has to put in an appeal. Brazilian superstars are above the law.

1864roverite Posted January 28, 2008 Posted January 28, 2008 put sky on and watch the match, he is a Leicester player allegedly
nicko Posted January 28, 2008 Author Posted January 28, 2008 I'll put the Blackburn target name up here later. The world has gone slightly mad today...Birmingham are now in for Cahill and have matched Bolton's bid. It just shows there are no players about and a lot of desperate teams. On Jason Roberts...he won't go unless there is a replacement. There has been one inquiry, but it's from a team that seems to specialise in near misses.
