Hughesy Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 If you read some of the message's on their boards its just nuts - they already think they are the biggest and best team in the land. I hope they spend another £100m+ and dont even crack the top 4.

Amo Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 Well, we can all generalize an entire fanbase with one post. You'd have a field day on here, that's for sure!
roversmad95 Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 just reading on with the city forum... they are all worried about his fitness... i can see why.... Quality player. Has everything we need. Only a fool would object on footballing grounds. BUT: can he stay fit? We also mustn't pay too much, as fat #### Sam needs teaching a lesson. £12m tops. £8m would be fair. next post.... Lets not forget that Bayern ****** let him go for £3million because of his time on the treatment table. For us to pay the reported £18million for him to do the same for us is just stupid business IMO. if they only offer 12 million i agree with nicko no point in selling him.....
1864roverite Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 Looking at the money City have splashed out it is SILLY BUSINESS all round City fans are way out of their station, the club maybe high on ambition but any football supporters knows they wont even crack the top 6 next season. Can anyone imagine E'to, Tevez and robinho wanting to play league football when the offers of Champions League football, trophies and glory beckon elsewhere ? City have nothing but money to offer. Their fans are as fickle as United's. For me, its a circus of clowns. The money no object must be every fans fantasy but the reality is, it will take at least 5 years to get to the top 4 if not longer. Hughes wont be the man to do it and the current squad are not good enough. Can anyone imagine E'to getting along with Bellamy ? No, me neither
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 Can anyone imagine E'to getting along with Bellamy ? No, me neither Uhm, why would those two have conflict?
tcj_jones Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 1864, you honestly think that City, providing they are still heavily backed, would take five seasons to crack the top four? It's just a matter of time, and with the amount of money they have to offer, that won't be long. 99% of footballers are mercanaries and WHEN they hit the top four - most likely in two seasons IMO - they will have Champions League football to offer. Let's not forget that Chelsea were in a similar position a few years ago and progressed remarkably quickly. Even if City stopped their spending here, I'd still bet on them reaching the top six. I'll wait to see how the rest of the summer goes before predicting their final league position but, if they continue to purchase the quality that they have thus far, then I can see them pushing Arsenal all the way for fourth spot.
67splitscreen Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 They have done enough to put the shoite up Wenger. Read at the weekend he expects them to push l'arse all the way, if they buy wisely.
Hughesy Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 City to make 5th bid for RSC "Blackburn manager Sam Allardyce is set to hold out for £15 million plus Israeli defender Tal Ben Haim and possibly one other player before sanctioning any deal." (other could be Caciedo or Fernandes?)
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 I'd rather just have the £15 million, they can keep Ben Haim.
tcj_jones Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 If Sam really is standing firm for that kind of a deal, then there's no way that Roque will be anywhere other than Ewood next season.
philipl Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 City to make 5th bid for RSC "Blackburn manager Sam Allardyce is set to hold out for £15 million plus Israeli defender Tal Ben Haim and possibly one other player before sanctioning any deal." (other could be Caciedo or Fernandes?) Yawn, back into City playing silly sods. Ignore them- they will go away as that story is patently directed at everybody (City supporters, other players, other agents, other clubs, the man in the moon etc etc) except Blackburn Rovers. The usual nonsense of "we have bid a number less than £17m" when they might get round to suggesting £6m to John Williams again in a few weeks' time. No doubt that Radio station in Assuncion will start getting mistranslated messages again sometime soon.
67splitscreen Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 Tal Ben Haim last seen pulling a rag and bone cart (banana feet was he called recently) I agree keep him well away from Ewood.
Hughesy Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 Surely Chelsea wouldnt of signed him if he was crap?? Sam knows him.... If sams feels he's up to it, then id agree.
tcj_jones Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 Is he really an improvement on either Givet, Samba or Nelsen though? Eespecially when his wages are likely to be higher than all three.
JAL Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 I'd rather just have the £15 million, they can keep Ben Haim. Here, Here, Seconded again!!
67splitscreen Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 Surely Chelsea wouldnt of signed him if he was crap?? Sam knows him.... If sams feels he's up to it, then id agree. Did well at Bolton he's made 27 appearances since, Chelsea obviously realized there mistake he was not good enough for there team, as did City and Sunderland didn't offer him anything after his loan spell. Id say that he's edging towards the crap heap pretty quickly, and no improvement on what we have, even more so when it comes to pace.

Definitely, we should be looking at players like Huth or Wheater at Boro who though played in a relegation team thats main fault was more down to its inability to score goals than conceding them.
roversmad95 Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 I'd rather just have the £15 million, they can keep Ben Haim. agreed... bt could ben haim play right back?
Guest Kamy100 Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 This morning's lancashire telegraph reports that City, Spurs and Villa interested in RSC. They say one club has made initial contact and Rovers are confident that RSC future will be sorted before players return for pre-season training on 1st July.
dingles staying down 4ever Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 I'd rather just have the £15 million, they can keep Ben Haim. They are offering £12mill for RSC or £20mill if we take Ben Haim as well apparently

For the most part I agree with you (especially at least 2 seasons away - it takes that many new players time to gel), but remember that Chelsea was already a top 4 side when they were bought.
