ftry Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 Ancelotti staying at AC for "many many years" according to the man himself. Never spoke to chelsea. Is the shortlist down to 1?

EwoodGlory Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 ancelotti staying at AC say SSN SSN Sources are a joke
revolutionrock! Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 I could swear I read goalkeeper in there somewhere... but I guess I just figured like father, like son. I mean Alex Bruce is a centre half, Kasper Schmeichel a keeper, Maldini Jr a centre half etc etc. He is a forward. He goes to my school. Cracking player, but if his dad goes, he will go probably from what i hear.
1864roverite Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 From Stamford Bridge.... As we all deliberate the potential ins and outs, as we do so there is a high level baord meeting going on RIGHT NOW. RA is NOT in the country and the statement issued by Chelsea has been released by the club secretary.
nicko Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 I hate to say it, but there is only one direction this is going now...
Hasta Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 He thinks that he can break the top 4 and make a challenge for the Premiership, EACH and EVERY football fan with an ounce of common dog realises that City along with the other 4 or 5 teams in the next tier of the Top League will NEVER break that mould NOR will they ever win the league. Most football fans I think do believe that a good side having a very good season may well break into the top 4. Everton did it not so long ago. Tottenham would have done it but for the dodgy pasta incident. Hell we were only about 5 opints off a few years back. A rich team run correctly over a period of a few years may well be able to pinch a Champions League place. Everton are now regularly knocking on the door. imagine if someone gave them another £40mill to strenghten again over the summer. Winning the Premier league is a different ball game though.
USRoverME Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 if he spends 200mil why wouldnt he have a chance to crack the top 4, or make it a top 5? what logic is there in that? Chelsea were a perrenial "just behind the leaders" for 4-6 years before Roman came in and spend 100mil to make them part of the top 4. whay cant he same be done now with 200 mil?
Mozzer Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 I hate to say it, but there is only one direction this is going now... and that is mark hughes to chelsea?
PAFELL Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 I hate to say it, but there is only one direction this is going now... Feel free to continue
Hasta Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 I hate to say it, but there is only one direction this is going now... Let's hope so cos I've just mopped up the 10/1 left on BF. I can say that without any guilt as realistically he can't come back from this situation now anyway.
tony gale's mic Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 I hate to say it, but there is only one direction this is going now... Since he's going anyway, I'm sure most of this board will prefer it be Chelsea. Firstly they're not our rivals and secondly a lot of us stand to make a lot of money from this.
John Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 So many posts! Just to confirm, from reading the earlier posts, we are going to hear some key news later on tonight which relates to us???
nicko Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 So many posts! Just to confirm, from reading the earlier posts, we are going to hear some key news later on tonight which relates to us??? No, that plan was scrapped because of Sky coming out with the Aneclotti stuff...I had to clear it up a couple of hours ago. Seems it may have moved on a bit since.
USRoverME Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 nah, nicko got fed up and let it slip a while ago, and its changed since then anyways! this story is moving too fast for him to hold info back from us!
PAFELL Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 So many posts! Just to confirm, from reading the earlier posts, we are going to hear some key news later on tonight which relates to us??? yeah - Mark Hughes has gone to Chelsea. Rovers get 5 mill plus anelka and macarthy goes the other way
ABBEY Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 I'm get fed up of this now, will someone please take the (please dont used that word again) job. egg frig ing zackleee ONE WAY OR TOTHER GET IT THE (Please don't use that word again) SORTED FOR GODS SAKE AND LETS GET ON WITH NEXT SEASON
John Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 Ok, fine. Don't know why but the thought of Hughes wanting to join Man City really angers me. Chelsea does not seem as bad....even though they were seen as the initial threat. Oh and by the way, a lot of Rangers fans I know don't rate Advocaat at all - he is not a great man manager, plus he spent a fair bit up there.

Chelsea does not seem as bad....even though they were seen as the initial threat. I agree - chelsea not too bad. Fresh start for Rovers - new manager - different transfer targets - different football style - new season to come.
Mc Love Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 SSN Sources are a joke Thats why its way better on this thread compared to the official boards...no offence lee if you are reading this, but it seems its more productive comments here.
Sandiway Blue Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 Nicko - should we back Hughes?! do bears sh1t in the woods?
