Jonnolad Posted June 17, 2009 Posted June 17, 2009 Opta stats ...... is that the best you can do ? Opta stats, world class managers picking him to start in crucial International games, our own manager consistently picking him to start, our own manager having enough faith in him to play him well out of position, favourable reports written about him in the press, neutral fans picking him as our best player in on-line stats, one newspaper short listing him as our player of the season. You tell me though - what do you have to say he's as bad as you make out? I've just supplied the above objective evidence to back up my viewpoint of him being a competent performer for us, so what do you have that backs up your viewpoint of him being dire? Please don't tell me all you have is something along the lines of "he's crap because I say he is"? Personally that would be a bit embarrassing and would make me suspect that you're just being stubborn for stubborn's sake. It isn't all you have though is it surely?

Billy Castell Posted June 17, 2009 Posted June 17, 2009 Can Admin do a little trick, a bit like Lancashire U.n.i.ted, where the word Ince becomes something else? Good idea. We can have a conytest to see who can come up with the best new name for him. Muse (just checking something with that word)
thenodrog Posted June 17, 2009 Posted June 17, 2009 Good idea. We can have a conytest to see who can come up with the best new name for him. None of my first ten choices would pass the swear filter.
thenodrog Posted June 17, 2009 Posted June 17, 2009 The only people who actually came out and said he would be a calamity in fact (certainly on the first 10 pages) were thenodrog and ROVER. Hats off to thenodrog's clairvoyance skills because he was dead set against the appointment from the off but he was in a definite minority. Is thenodrog the only member on here who knows his football then though? Modesty prevents any comment.
yoda Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 Can Admin do a little trick, a bit like Lancashire U.n.i.ted, where the word Ince becomes something else? using all the letters, best I can come up with is u pelican
LeChuck Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 How about...'I clean up' or maybe 'Clean up? I?' (could be good in context to the mess he made of the club in the short time he was here) or...'Alien Cup'. (not sure about this one, the shape of his head maybe?) I wish I was better at these sort of things.
Amo Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 L*ncashire United isn't an anagram of Blackburn Rovers, so why use one for Ince??
thenodrog Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 L*ncashire United isn't an anagram of Blackburn Rovers, so why use one for Ince?? Correct. As I've said 4 letters will suffice for my first three choices.
Majiball Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 Ok if you want a name here's one I heard on the terrace against the gooners. Chap went "bugger me chelsea got the special one, united, fergie and the gooners the professor, and who do rovers get "the deluded one"!!!
yoda Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 L*ncashire United isn't an anagram of Blackburn Rovers, so why use one for Ince?? because its fun taking the ###### out of the no mark
LeChuck Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 Despite having no reason to be on our TV screens, Ince is still putting his IQ on full display to everyone and being laughed at by the media. From the BBC; "To get £80m, it's an offer you just can't refuse to turn down." Paul Ince on the sale of Ronaldo, on Sportsweek. So...you CAN say no? "If they're not happy, they throw their prams out and wanna leave straight away." Ince again on Sportsweek - apparently the modern footballers don't just just throw toys anymore. Y'know Paul...you should just like keep yer mouth shut, y'know?

You just gave me real bad flash backs from the Ince Era, what was it he said against Wigan, 'once they are on the pitch there's nothing I can do'...

imy9 Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 Watch his first interview, it makes for scary viewing now- hindsight is a wonderful thing!
Majiball Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 Watch his first interview, it makes for scary viewing now- hindsight is a wonderful thing! But its great fore-sight by Ince! He did get one thing right.
Billy Castell Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 I wonder if he has been anywhere near getting a job at any time? Nicko may help with this, but I can't see anyone outside the 3rd division going for him. Especially if his brief spell here has given him delusions of adequecy because of us being in the Premiership.
thenodrog Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 Watch his first interview, it makes for scary viewing now- hindsight is a wonderful thing! Yesterday was the anniversary of that desperate day!
JAL Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 Does anyone know if Paul Ince has continued to do his coaching badges whilst being out of work.
T4E Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 Ince has gone back to the MK Dons. Thats your level Paul, stay there.
Stuart Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 Mathias trying to keep his name associated with Ince too That pair must've really seen us coming!
John Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 The Darkness speaking on SSN now, over the moon about Ince. Just seeing/hearing Ince makes me cringe.....y'know
