LeChuck Posted March 31, 2009 Posted March 31, 2009 Robbo's been fine since Allardyce came in. He pulled off a fantastic save in the last minute against Fulham to prevent a(nother) Nelsen mistake costing us a vital win.

Hughesy Posted March 31, 2009 Posted March 31, 2009 Must agree with LeChuck - no major problems with Robinson. People want to start watching Nelsen more closely rather than always blaming the easy target. Id hate to count up how many goals Nelsen has been at fault for this season - Yet Peter Jackson must be in love with him or something.
T4E Posted March 31, 2009 Posted March 31, 2009 Nope, nowhere near good enough. Nonsense. Hutton is an excellent player he's just been unlucky with injuries. And thats the reason we shouldnt sign him, not because he's not good enough.
Hughesy Posted March 31, 2009 Posted March 31, 2009 He is decent - but he is never worth the £8m they paid for him. £3m for Givet proves that, or better still £300k for Samba!
gumboots Posted March 31, 2009 Posted March 31, 2009 He is decent - but he is never worth the £8m they paid for him. £3m for Givet proves that, or better still £300k for Samba! But how many players who go to Spurs are actually worth what they are prepared to pay. they see the lastest fashionable player and have to have him whatever the cost to them or to his career and most players are too dumb and greedy to see it. Their fans are trying to big up a deal for ashley Young at the moment

Looking through the team I take your point, a good team defends from the front, which with our set of lazy @#/?s it aint ever going to happen, then theres the weak midfield, it does become open season on our depressed goalie. Though for me Robbo isnt here yet though Nelsen has alot to answer for this season as do many of the others.
Hughesy Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 How many mistakes has Nelsen made though? He always seems to make them, yet he always gets away with it. If samba is the best defender by far and has been a rock, Nelsen always seems to get the MOM - WHY?! Spurs are a joke club, and will never ever get Ashley Young - rumours are that Chelsea are sniffing around that one.
novella Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 Wonder if we are still looking at Edin Dzeko, Sunderland are looking at him and i think we were linked to him. He looks a talent.
philipl Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 Love would be a fabulous signing for us. I'd rate him as being even better than Roque.
gazsimm Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 Love would be a fabulous signing for us. I'd rate him as being even better than Roque. he would, if we stayed up in the top flight, and rocky still wanted to leave, u never know Big sam might just be able to pull it off.
alexanders Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 My personal favourite if Roque leaves would be Edin Dzeko from Wolfsburg. He netted two against Belgium yesterday and have been bagging them in for Wolfsburg this season!
LeChuck Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 Wonder if we are still looking at Edin Dzeko, Sunderland are looking at him and i think we were linked to him. He looks a talent. Have to agree with that, he looks excellent. If he's out of our reach then Artem Milevskiy looked very good for Ukraine last night. 6'3 but has excellent technique and seemed fairly quick as well. I'm not sure how much Kiev would want for him, but he's only 24 and would be a good investment to replace Roque.

However it's reported he is looking to come to England this summer so Big Sam needs to warm up his persuasion techniques
Hughesy Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 Love would be a fabulous signing for us. I'd rate him as being even better than Roque. Agree 100% - he is a top talent. Even we could get him id be delighted. I think other clubs like Everton will rival us for his signature though.
bennyboyt11 Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11661_5135020,00.html Gelson Fernandes? Young Swiss midfielder looking to get out of City, perhaps a Sam signing?
LeChuck Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 Really good, young player. He's exactly what we need at the moment. I'd love us to get him but I think there'd be a lot of competition.
Hughesy Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 He would be a good investment and im sure we could get him as part of the roque deal if we tried.
benhben Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 Hed be a damn site better than Vince "slowest player in the world" Grella.
Amo Posted April 5, 2009 Posted April 5, 2009 Sam will go back for Egypt's Al-Muhammadi in the summer as a replacement for the departing Ooijer. That's according to the Sunday People.
rovers1993 Posted April 5, 2009 Posted April 5, 2009 al-mumadi? is he a defender? i thought he was a winger?? hmm...
gumboots Posted April 5, 2009 Posted April 5, 2009 al-mumadi? is he a defender? i thought he was a winger?? hmm... And we've had the chance to sign him before and not taken it. Is he being linked with 2 other clubs? Agent talk?
Majiball Posted April 5, 2009 Posted April 5, 2009 Love would be a fabulous signing for us. I'd rate him as being even better than Roque. We already have one sulking lazy striker up-front we don't need another. He's meant to be like Anelka on Red bull. Have to agree with that, he looks excellent. I'm not sure how much Kiev would want for him, but he's only 24 and would be a good investment to replace Roque. Dzeko is class. Milevskiy is gonna take shevchenko's mantle for the ukraine. If we sell RSC we need someone with something about him arielly but in the same vein we need pace. So I will not be surprised to see two new strkiers at Rovers next year.

patrickvalery Posted April 5, 2009 Posted April 5, 2009 sturridge??? for free? Well, a fee decided by tribunal. Plus (if reports are to be belived) he has turned down 60k p/w from city. Not sure we'll stretch to anything close to that. I guess if you combine the wages of summer departues we could, but i'm not sure we'd outlay that much on a relatively unknown quantitiy.

For an unknown quantity as you say? I'd give him 30-40k I think he wants to play every week, and the only reason he hasn't signed a 60k deal at city, is coz he knows he will not play next year.Never mind another shopping bender from city in the summer. we must have a lot of wages coming off the books in summer, BS is probably looking at expiring contracts and bosmans now, if sam is anything he's a wheeler and dealer. Rsc and sturridge would be a good partnership next season in my opinion
