Iceman Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 We'd never sell Bouma, plus you really don't want him at the moment. It's never good when a players injury stretches months longer than it was supposed to, constant set backs to his rehab. I was there the day he snapped his ankle, I said that day he'd never play another first team game for us again, and if you believe rumours that could be right. Bouma will fit right in. There is nice comfy place alongside Dunn, Reid, Di Santo and Grella. There are a great many reasons that Bentley won't be making a return to Ewood Park - the main one being that there's no way Allardyce will drop his golden boy Diouf. He doesnt have to drop Diouf. Diouf has a nice shiny car, so he can drop himself. I see no reason why Bentley cant put that pride in his back pocket and return home.

Hi Mack Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 We need Distin and Barton....if not Distin, I'd like Bouma in part-ex with Villa for Warnock.... I like the sound of that........Barton is a bad ass but he is quality on his day!
ebenrocks Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 yeah, i have to say that i hate barton, very much. But i would take him in a second right now. Newcastle want rid, so that will bring the price down considerably, and he could do a job for us. Definatly a million times better than half the crap we have in midfield.
DeadlyDirk Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 Here is Sam's press conference if anyone hasn't seen it regarding Warnock and future transfers. Dissapointed to here him say that we will always be a selling club, surely we don't have to publicly admit that even if it's now glaringly true. Said the easy part is selling Warnock, the hard part is getting at least one player in place before they let him go. Again mentioned Nelsen being out for a number of weeks. (Knee ligaments again, I'm thinking this time it might be months, not weeks.)
sloth_frattelli Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 Maybe if Barton was cheap enough. I'd rather see Allardyce invest the cash though in someone likely to rise considerably in value over the next few seasons. Krancjar at Portsmouth could go cheap considering their financial problems at the minute. I'd prefer this to another of these golden oldies that Sam seems to conjur up.
Iceman Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 I like the sound of that........Barton is a bad ass but he is quality on his day! I shudder to think what will happen if, Benni, Diouf, Salgado and Barton dont agree about something. I like it, we will be a mean blue wrecking machine
Hughesy Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 Barton on loan - with a view to a permanent if he can behave and do well.........?
Darwen Rover Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 In terms of defensive cover; we could do alot worse than Sol Campbell.. Although must say he would probably be very expensive!
RibbleValleyRover Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 If Sam decides to sell Warnock then Rothen better well be off the list as far as i'm concerned. We should be looking at better than that and looking at proper central midfielders not garbage wingers.

Judging from the press conference on Sky it's not Sam's decision if he goes or not, just have to hope he is given the replacement.

Maybe the board should manage the team then. I dont agree that the final decision does not lie with Sam. It really is a sad state of affairs
mark1875 Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 In terms of defensive cover; we could do alot worse than Sol Campbell.. Although must say he would probably be very expensive! rumoured last week that he was willing to join newcastle for just 15k a week, latest linked with sven's notts county revolution id like to see him if we can get his wages down

I know he aint getting younger, but we could do alot worse. Robinson Jacobsen Samba Campbell(sp) Givet Salgado Diouf Bentley Nzonzi Gamst Benni I still think 4-5-1 is a good formation

dj54nna Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 Barton on loan - with a view to a permanent if he can behave and do well.........? Not possible on either count because he's nothing special as a player and a hyperviolent cretin the rest of the time. Surely out of the thousands of players in the world, we've got to have better aspirations than someone who should actually be in prison?

I was there the day he snapped his ankle, I said that day he'd never play another first team game for us again, and if you believe rumours that could be right. Thank's for that Tom. I don't know where some people get these ideas from. He's been out for a year with a career threatening injury and yet somebody still want's us to sign him ! To be honest with you I wouldn't have signed him before the inkury. Steady player but not quick enough for fullback and not commanding enough at centre half. Before the injury he needed to lose a stone at least, God knows what he's like now. You hold on to him matey. Well if it was rumoured that he will go to Newcastle for 15k, then why not to us for 15k? I know he aint getting younger, but we could do alot worse. Robinson Jacobsen Samba Campbell(sp) Givet Salgado Diouf Bentley Nzonzi Gamst Benni I still think 4-5-1 is a good formation You reckon Benny's got the mobility to play up front on his own ?? You're not related to him are you Iceman ? Stick to commentng on the cricket Matey.

Guest TuGays One Cup Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 As in Delph who has just signed for Villa for 8M? loan him quick then burnley already have 6 points on us hurry sam midfield needs addressing barton ljunbenrg milner reo coker plenty to go at no more keef please we'd have 6 points if keef wasnt our playmaker
luredbycheaptickets Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 Campbell has lost all the pace he had, we dont need him!! Agree. I think Sylvain Distain would be a better option than Campbell.

Guest TuGays One Cup Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 Agree. I think Sylvain Distain would be a better option than Campbell. what about ledley king or anton ferdinand if samba goes and whats this lad on trial like. i find it a co=incidents that week 1 rumours about warnock - costs us goal 4 days later imminent departure -------------------------------week 2 rumours about samba - costs us goal 4 days later? watch this space ...........?
