John Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 Dindane's finishing is not the best, but his pace upfront would give us another dimension and open up space for other players. Well we know Sam was interested in Dindane last summer, so likely to be something in it.

novella Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 Judging by nickos post earlier about a target being lined up and him not wanting to say anything before 11 it's a new unknown target
sam_rovers Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 A small pacey player hardly seems a player that would fit into the system we use right now.. unless big sam wants to use him on the wing?
67splitscreen Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 Well we know Sam was interested in Dindane last summer, so likely to be something in it. He can put that one down to a near miss then.
MarkBRFC71 Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 Robert Lewandowski has sign for us roberts going?????? If only ....
doctorryan Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 We'vve dodged a bullet on Araujo. A player who really flatters to deceive. One good piece of skill every few games that makes up for the fact that he's mostly ineffective. Can't see him being a big success in the premier league. I concur; he's no one to get excited about.
ABBEY Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 Rovers 1st Brazilian i think....... best ask the ladies
cn174 Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 . Rovers 1st Brazilian i think....... Sergio Peter was half Brazilian.
DeadlyDirk Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 Sergio Peter was half Brazilian. Shame we never saw that half
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 I'm not sure if Lewandowski and Beattie are adequate replacements for McCarthy and Roberts. Beattie is better than Roberts by some way in my opinion, but Lewandowski isn't exactly a huge name. I may be doing him him a disservice though, he's only 21. If we did sign those two we'd have 3 strikers below the age of ~23 and just one experienced one!
brian_gallagher85 Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 ...but Lewandowski isn't exactly a huge name. What? It's a bloody huge name!
Kelbo Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 What? It's a bloody huge name! Van whatsits of Hessalink is a bloody massive name
Steve Moss Posted January 31, 2010 Author Posted January 31, 2010 Beattie is better than Roberts by some way in my opinion, but Lewandowski isn't exactly a huge name. The Big Lewandowski.

saxo1man30 Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 judging by nicko`s comments about our target making sense after the events of `the last couple of days`, i have a feeling we could move for frazier campbell of sunderland. liverpool are belived to be about to take kenwyne jones but they probably won`t pay enough for sunderland to use the money and sign robbie keane(he`d cost about 8m to 10m), that`s where the likely 2.5m to 3m rovers would pay for campbell comes into it. possible? he fits the criterea for next season`s ruling, and the preferred criterea of our club, young, promising and english.

Not really as Sunderland paid 3.5m in the Summer which could rise to 6m!
saxo1man30 Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 Not really as Sunderland paid 3.5m in the Summer which could rise to 6m! that makes the move even more possible. he`s not really hit it off at sunderland and if the extra money they have to pay is based on appearances then they`d probably want rid. 2.5m to 3m would get them most of their money back and they wouldn`t have to pay another penny to united.
tony gale's mic Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 Not remotely fussed about missing out on the Brazilian; poor scoring record in French league + age + poor track record of his compatriots here all adds up to a big fat wage bill dodged. Really hope we go after this Polish chap but I think times running out.
Majiball Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 Can I ask where we have been linked to the polish lad Lewandoski (sp). Has it actually been reported in a paper??

mellison24 Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 Give us some more criteria to guess with, Nicko! It's boring now! Unless you can fast-forward time to 11pm?
saxo1man30 Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 why not frazier campbell? he`s a damned sight better than all the other names i`ve been hearing as possibles.
mellison24 Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 why not frazier campbell? he`s a damned sight better than all the other names i`ve been hearing as possibles. He's the definition of a young Roberts, but with a better finish. Worth a shot. I just wouldn't think he'd be within our budget tbh.
hollowsr Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 why not frazier campbell? he`s a damned sight better than all the other names i`ve been hearing as possibles. Do you want to guess how many premiership goals he has scored?
