mogster Posted April 24, 2010 Posted April 24, 2010 will leave us very weak at the back against the better teams in the league if thats the case I'd be stunned if he did it against better teams.

joey_big_nose Posted April 24, 2010 Posted April 24, 2010 will leave us very weak at the back against the better teams in the league if thats the case Depends how well the defence is drilled. In principle it could work, especially since aruably our best three players on current form are centrebacks (Samba, Jones, Givet)....
budha Posted April 24, 2010 Posted April 24, 2010 I'd be stunned if he did it against better teams. That would easily transform into 7-0-3, which could be useful against the bigger teams: Kalinic-Roberts Basturk Pedersen-N'Zonzi Olsson-Givet-Nelsen-Jones-Salgado Robinson
Amo Posted April 24, 2010 Posted April 24, 2010 Well, if he's gonna try a new formation, this is the time to do it.
dazmaz Posted April 24, 2010 Posted April 24, 2010 quick question, am i right in thinking Salgado and ollson will be playing as wing backs?
budha Posted April 24, 2010 Posted April 24, 2010 Telly graphics has us on 3-5-2, but I guess we'll just have to wait and see what it is.
67splitscreen Posted April 24, 2010 Posted April 24, 2010 Jeez! 3 at the back two up top is Sam on holiday. 4-4
Amo Posted April 24, 2010 Posted April 24, 2010 In thirty seconds Pedersen takes an atrocious free-kick and an equally crap long-throw. And Sam wants to KEEP him? (Watch him score)
RibbleValleyRover Posted April 24, 2010 Posted April 24, 2010 Clever ball by Basturk then, Salgado goes down in the area, i've seen them given before.
Pinch Posted April 24, 2010 Posted April 24, 2010 In thirty seconds Pedersen takes an atrocious free-kick and an equally crap long-throw. And Sam wants to KEEP him? (Watch him score) I never bang on about Ped's crap free-kicks...but that was pub league. I'm amazed he's still taking free-kicks. Shocking stuff.
Amo Posted April 24, 2010 Posted April 24, 2010 Good vision by Basturk, Salgado brought down but no pen.
Robin Posted April 24, 2010 Posted April 24, 2010 Good vision by Basturk, Salgado brought down but no pen. He dived/fell to the ground.
Balwer Posted April 24, 2010 Posted April 24, 2010 He dived to the ground. Le Tis thought there was contact.
Amo Posted April 24, 2010 Posted April 24, 2010 He dived to the ground. Looked like he clashed knees, to me. Why would he go down in that position? *Tony Gale says Pedersen's throws become "very good". Dread to think when it was bad. *Or is it Paul Walsh?
imy9 Posted April 24, 2010 Posted April 24, 2010 He dived to the ground. FFS he was clipped clearly on his knees that is a clear pen, great ball by Basturk
RibbleValleyRover Posted April 24, 2010 Posted April 24, 2010 Overall a decent spell of pressure from us, just missing that killer final ball.
Majiball Posted April 24, 2010 Author Posted April 24, 2010 Clever ball by Basturk then, Salgado goes down in the area, i've seen them given before. When he goes down, off balance he sticks his leg out to make contact. Very clever because at first it looked like a nailed on one.
martmitch Posted April 24, 2010 Posted April 24, 2010 Good vision from basturk unlucky rovers good break
Robin Posted April 24, 2010 Posted April 24, 2010 FFS he was clipped clearly on his knees that is a clear pen, great ball by Basturk Thought so too when i saw it, but then i saw the re-play from the the other angle.
BlueWhiteDynamite Posted April 24, 2010 Posted April 24, 2010 well theres a suprise... kalinic hits the post!
Majiball Posted April 24, 2010 Author Posted April 24, 2010 Its so nice to see when we get the ball forward we have some support for our front man. Hat off to you Sam, regardless of result your trying something different at last!!!
