Mr. E Posted June 12, 2010 Posted June 12, 2010 BBC suggesting that England are going to start with: Green, Johnson, King, Terry, A Cole, Lennon, Lampard, Gerrard, Milner, Heskey, Rooney which would be the worst team anyone could possibly conceive of. Green is quite easily the weakest of the three goalkeepers. Milner is a good player, only little problem is he is a right or central midfielder, not left. Heskey - might as well be starting with 10 men. He is one of the most useless players in the Premiership, let alone the England squad.

cn174 Posted June 12, 2010 Posted June 12, 2010 Sky reckon that Rob Green starts in goal. I'm just warming up by watching England v France at rugby league. I doubt the footy will be anywhere near as easy!
dopper69 Posted June 12, 2010 Posted June 12, 2010 Sky reckon that Rob Green starts in goal. Suprised if that is acurate, Still, 2-0 England, both goals from open play. Heskey - might as well be starting with 10 men. He is one of the most useless players in the Premiership, let alone the England squad. Heskey will serve his purpose at the WC and upset a few defenders.
RibbleValleyRover Posted June 12, 2010 Posted June 12, 2010 BBC suggesting that England are going to start with: Green, Johnson, King, Terry, A Cole, Lennon, Lampard, Gerrard, Milner, Heskey, Rooney England might get away with it because its the USA (no disrespect to our American friends). A central midfield of Lampard and Gerrard just doesn't work, especially against quality opposition. I wonder if Gerrard will actually play on the left and milner in the middle if that is the team. If we were playing a Spain or a Brazil with that midfield i don't think they would stand a chance.
Mr. E Posted June 12, 2010 Posted June 12, 2010 Heskey can do absolutely nothing that Crouch can't do. Only difference is Crouch is a solid player who can score goals. Heskey barely even gets a game at Aston Villa, yet he starts for England at the World Cup? I mean, is Capello joking around or something? Without the slightest exaggeration, I would rather start with Benni McCarthy in his current state than Heskey. I'd take any of North Korea's players over Heskey. David James upfront won't be a worse option. I really can't believe this.
Tim Southampton Rover Posted June 12, 2010 Posted June 12, 2010 Heskey is going to score tonight. I've convinced myself that all these years Heskey has been playing a joke and he's actually better than Pele. Tonight is the night he will prove that to us all.
JoeBlueWhite Posted June 12, 2010 Posted June 12, 2010 So is this game on ITV and are they streaming it? Yes http://www.itv.com/itv1
Tim Southampton Rover Posted June 12, 2010 Posted June 12, 2010 Missed the goal because ITV HD decided to go to an advert break during the game. When they came back to the match we were 1-0 up. Never been so angry yet happy in all my life!
ewoodpo Posted June 12, 2010 Posted June 12, 2010 Oooh yanks should have scored , what is going on at the back.
Rover Down Under Posted June 12, 2010 Posted June 12, 2010 That's what you get for not picking Robinson Capello you fudging dick.
ewoodpo Posted June 12, 2010 Posted June 12, 2010 The plonker this is why Robbo should have gone. Come on England
Tim Southampton Rover Posted June 12, 2010 Posted June 12, 2010 Beckham is thinking "you ###### dick"
SouthAussieRover Posted June 12, 2010 Posted June 12, 2010 How the hell are England third favourites? I'd like to blame the foghorns for Green's howler but that would be unfair.
Iceman Posted June 12, 2010 Posted June 12, 2010 Robbo had the better season, forget that he also made a clanger. All keepers go through that. No way, that Green should have gone.
