If this Italian club really are interested in Lars, then why give him a new contract?

Seems to be they really want to keep him and so will offer him more money. Like they did when Fulham were sniffing around Andrews.

Who is this Vinjay chap? I've seen him mentioned on here a few times, Rovers mad and BBC 606 forum- and let's say not with affection ;)

Vinjay is a tool, thats all you need to know,he jumped on the Rovers bandwagon when we won the title. He thinks that our biggest rivals are Man Utd,also has avid hatered for the Walker family.

He is that deluded that even if Saddam Hussain was buying the club he'd be over the moon you get the picture. :wstu:

There doesn't seem to be anyone else running the news, LT or the official board.

Don't be so rotten Ewoodpo. Ben will just be another product of the Premiership Manager generation. Good job Sam isn't eh?

All of our right backs (Salgado, Chimbobda, Jacobsen) start the last year of their contracts. Salgado will be 73 yrs old next summer and it looks very unlikely that Chimbonda would be offered an extension. Giving Jacobsen one extra year would mean that we would have to find perhaps only one right back next summer.

Before anyone asks - if they can be bothered any more - there will be an 11 o'clocker.

I rate Lars, he's a solid full back who can fill in for Salgado when the ageing legend needs a breather :) Sell Chimbonda who doesn't seem to care too much instead, but my guess is he is on pretty high wages and not the easiest to offload.

Completely agree.

Do we really need Salgado, Chimbondo, Brett/Andrews who can both play cover at RB if needed AND Jacobsen?

I'd go the opposite way and say I'd like to see Jacobsen fill in at CM instead of Andrews...

Some would say it's called Football Manager....

My lad's got a few years worth of them and I can confirm it's completely addled his opinions of football in the real world good and proper.

BUT he is useful in a football sports quiz though. He knows who all names mentioned on here play for and who I have never even heard of.

It's a great for football knowledge.

Everton signed an exclusive deal last year too with the developers to give David Moyes and his coaches unrivaled access to its database. It has some useful purposes in the real world I suppose.

Well played sir.

FM is good for gaining knowledge about players and teams, some very interesting stats on there, the database is incredible. It's not realistic as far as simulation goes, but I'm thankful for that. Managing Rovers on FM would be a bloody nightmare if it was based completely on reality!

Thanks, but I will pass on that.

Reading into his wild assertions in the other thread makes me think he's on the drink already (no harm in that)

Sometimes I wonder if he's constantly p'ssed up! :D

Nicko has made me want to reach for the bottle

No need.

So Nicko would you say the 11 oclocker is bad news or scary?

Interesting...it would only be scary if I said 'boo' at the start of it.

Please don't tell me the Diouf deal has fallen through....

No, I certainly won;t be telling you that.
