chris Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 I'm dreading Kean's post match interview, I KNOW I'm going to cringe.

Ferrit Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 Anyone know a site showing the market on which manager will be sacked first? No point, no value in it. I'd be surprised if Kean wasn't favourite. A quick check, he's favourite 7/2.

Mc Love Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 On Sky news this morning they were saying Pardew was fav to be sacked first
Backroom Tom Posted August 13, 2011 Backroom Posted August 13, 2011 It's a tough one and we'll see how knee jerk Venkys are here, I'm not suggestion he be sacked but if we go a few more weeks losing every game then all of a sudden the transfer window is shut and a new manager wouldn't be able to do his thing.
philipl Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 Has he been fired yet? What are they waiting for?
Billy Castell Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 vineeth_rao@venkys.org I think this is an e-mail for our recently installed chairman, or whatever title he has. I have sent emails to him before and got a reply. If you fancy shortening the odds, you could send your concerns to Mr. Rao.

Motivation and team selection are definitely not strong points for kean so its fair to say without transfer dealings any other manager could hardly fail to do better with the garbage he inherits, park the bus and shut up shop simply are'nt in keans skillset and thats dangerous when the team is this bad.
Bluefudge Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 Has he gone yet...... Has he hell!!!!! Clueless, back stabbing, low life, karl bloody idiot Just watched him on bbc world......... He hasnt got a clue, rabbit in headlights. Body language says it all, man under pressure!!!
Majiball Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 Has he been fired yet? What are they waiting for? The Trotters haven't managed to get their bets placed yet.
bringdunnback Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 The hysterics going on in this thread is too funny, and not funny laugh out loud, more funny shoot my myself in the head. Calm down, its the first game of the season and there's along way too go, 37 games to be precise. Can we also give it around 5/6 games before we starting calling for him to be sacked.

ABBEY Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 Sack him but Boone would come and tickle the venkys belly

It's his first full season in charge, I'm prepared to give him a chance. Of course last season after a bright start, we were incredibly poor but I really believe that with Rochina and Formica ready to come through and our full defence back we will be alot stronger through the season. Goodwillie looked good, Petrovic we haven't seen yet and with the prospect of more signings I'm quite positive. Surely you have to take into account that our centre backs were out today. Every club would struggle in that situation.
sweet Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 PAUL INCE - PLAYED 21 // WON 6 STEVE KEAN - PLAYED 24 // WON 6 How the hell is this guy still at our club???
G Somerset Rover Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 PAUL INCE - PLAYED 21 // WON 6 STEVE KEAN - PLAYED 24 // WON 6 How the hell is this guy still at our club??? Hi pal's got him into the job and until recently were here. Now........
chris Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 Ok nobody hates Steve Kean interviews more then me, but at least this one was 100% right, I was really expecting a load of bull. "11 left 3 players arrived the squad is not big enough" "3/4 CB's missing compared to last Wolves game Jones, Samba, Givet" "The squad is not big enough and we will spend the budget in the next two weeks to ensure the squad is improved" "Formica took his goal well but missing Nzonzi's impact in midfield and losing Givet to illness last minute was a blow" "we don't have enogh players so main job buy players plus loan to increase the squad" "we need competition for places" "Givet and Samba likely back next game, Nelsen few weeks"
BRFC1995 Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 PAUL INCE - PLAYED 21 // WON 6 STEVE KEAN - PLAYED 24 // WON 6 How the hell is this guy still at our club??? very weak leadership by the higher ups with zero sense of urgency
SamTheShrew Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 "The squad is not big enough and we will spend the budget in the next two weeks to ensure the squad is improved" By which point we could have played 3-4 winnable games and lost all of them
RibbleValleyRover Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 Chris, Rovers have had plenty of time to get a centre back in to replace the loss of Jones (maybe not in quality but someone who could do a job at this level). You can't prevent injuries, but you can lessen the impact and strengthen your ability to react to those situations if your squad is big enough. Did the lack of defenders kill us today? Probably but the situation we are in is largely self inflicted.
