Stuart Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 Eduardo Vargas has rejected Manchester City & Chelsea to sign for Napoli. City not happy at all. But they are still tapping De Rossi up for the Summer. That's awful news, Roberto. Please keep us informed on how terrible it is for Man City and Co.

Audax Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 Landon Donovan still plays well, I once read of a routine he did for speed, a bunch of hard sprints to put it in a nutshell. 29? Yak is 29, African years, Drogba is 33, as long as Donovan keeps his speed and agility, I don't see any problem.
Backroom Tom Posted December 18, 2011 Backroom Posted December 18, 2011 Random comment but Alex Song has turned into a fantastic player He'll get sent off today now
Audax Posted December 21, 2011 Posted December 21, 2011 Jisty, oh well, Suarez got a ban, misery loves company I suppose.
neekoy Posted December 21, 2011 Posted December 21, 2011 Which will be halved on appeal and only start AFTER they play us
Audax Posted December 21, 2011 Posted December 21, 2011 I think Donovan is a good move for Everton. He's a good player. I've noticed an uptick of Everton shirts on our soccer fields. Dude!
Roberto Policano Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 All parts of the deal now agreed on,Carlos Tevez should be a Milan player come first week in January.
Audax Posted December 26, 2011 Posted December 26, 2011 I get a feeling we could see some surprises in the next two days but unsure of which games.
John Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 Tony Fernandes, via Twitter, seems pretty passionate regarding QPR - no where near as passionate as Balaji though.
Stuart Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 I don't want tweets, I want them to stick their hands in their pockets!!
Audax Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 8 games so far for these boxing day fixtures. 6 draws, Chelsea/Fulham, Liverpool/Rovers, Sunderland/Everton, West Brom/Man City, Stoke City/Aston Villa, Arsenal/Wolves. No great effect on the table. West Brom on the basis of 2 wins and a draw have scooted right up the table to ninth place. If they had lost to Rovers about 3 weeks ago, WBA would have had 14 points, Blackburn 13 at that time, it really shows you despite looking at the schedule what a few positive games can do and of course, prior to that, WBA lost to Wigan. So it's the obvious, one game at a time but see, just a surge in form for a few games and a club can be lifted right out of the mire. Swans QPR easily could be another draw, one would think Spurs are powerful enough to topple Norwich but these boxing day fixtures have been a surprise. Whew, what a goal by Swansea after I go on record there. That was really nice. Swansea do after all have that fine home record, on the other hand, QPR and Norwich both know the Swans from the Championship. Gut feeling said Swans but with so many draws these past 2 days who would know.
roverandout Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 yes but we are talking about kean here, wheres this surge in form going to come from? we have only scraped 2 league wins all season and you suddenly think we are capable of winning 3 in a row?
Amo Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 yes but we are talking about kean here, wheres this surge in form going to come from? we have only scraped 2 league wins all season and you suddenly think we are capable of winning 3 in a row? Come the next 'winnable' game, we'll drop points again and the status quo will be restored. Scabbing a point at Anfield will have no bearing on this season.
trueblueroversiloveu Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 Next few games are winnable is all we've heard for his whole year in charge
Audax Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 Since this is "other", rare Friday game, Liverpool/Newcastle, looks to be another draw to me but Lawro picks of course, the Reds. http://www.soccerway.com/national/england/premier-league/2011-2012/regular-season/ Man Utd. tomorrow for the Rovers and then already another match Monday. We'll see. I guess Rovers have to see the Stoke City as a must win, is it possible I hate saying this that they won't put too much emphasis against Man. Utd. because that would always be a hard game to draw or win. Clubs do do that I think, Wigan started out trying but once it was 2-0, they gave up and it ended 5-0 against Man. Utd.
Roberto Policano Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 Chelsea back talking to Milos Krasic's agent yesterday,City & Liverpool keen too.
Audax Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 And Henry coming back probably to Arsenal, Donovan did great for Everton 2 years ago but 2 months is very little time. Still, exciting to see these players.
Clitherover Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 Let's hope the other Premiership results near the bottom go our way today. Those being: Bolton v Wolves = draw Stoke v Wigan = home win Arsenal v QPR = home win All quite likely results and that would keep our 18th position but Wolves would move 1 point away from us. We're not down yet lads! COYB!!!
Devon Rover Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 Wouldn't it be typical if we win at Old Trafford but other results mean we stay bottom?! At least we are no longer cut adrift from safety. Hopefully Stoke won't stay behind against Wigan....
Backroom Tom Posted December 31, 2011 Backroom Posted December 31, 2011 Currently back bottom but made up ground on Wolves or Bolton no matter what the result there.
StaffsRover Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 All is the talk is about Rovers, Wigan and Notlob and, under the circumstances, I can understand that. However, is it just me, or does no one else see both Norwich and Swansea doing the usual (Hull and Blackpool (esque) plummet to the bottom? Both are currently losing at home today. I believe both may well end up in the bottom 3, leaving just one place left......I think thats much better odds than the current popular belief that it will be 3 from the current bottom 4!! Also, with Bolton and Wigan currently winning some people are thinking that means our win today has been somehow dimished. It does not matter what anyone else does as long as we get points oon the board. Bolton winning would mean they go above us but it also means Wloves come back to us....see my point?
AllRoverAsia Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 Currently back bottom but made up ground on Wolves or Bolton no matter what the result there. Lets hope Norwich, Swansea and QPR keep slipping a bit so the points differences are not too much. Its going to be season long dogfight at the bottom. I think we will survive but Stoke is the first big test. Today I was impressed with a lot of the Rovers players apart from 2 lapses in defending by N'onzi and MGP.

I think you are spot on. Probably 8 or 9 teams will be in the relegation fight.
