tombarton Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 Very good shout on Vagner Love as the 'sexy striker'. Released a sex tape didnt he? Nicko and his riddles haha
daveoftherovers Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 Roberts cannot be the benchmark though for signings. There are a lot of people better than Roberts. What ever happened to the positivity thread? :-) Why don't we just start on a list of people who are worse than Roberts, surely that's a much smaller and more manageable list? :-) If we sign Dann then that is good news If we sign Dann and keep Samba, then that is fantastic news! However, If we lose Samba, we are just so totally in the pooh
67splitscreen Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 Yak or Striker X. Yak, fee small as you'd expect, seeking huge wages, (according to the usual oracle) bin him if the decision maker has any sense.
T4E Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 Roberts cannot be the benchmark though for signings. There are a lot of people better than Roberts. What ever happened to the positivity thread? :-) Agree that it shouldn't be, however if we don't sign Yakubu we'll be stuck with Roberts and I know what I'd rather!
67splitscreen Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 I'd agree to Hanley 4 CD should be enough.
BiggusLaddus Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 Cast your mind back 2weeks to the wolves game - 4 centre backs in the squad wasn't enough then.
Waggy76 Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 Sorry to be negative but I would be very surprised if Dann comes in and at the same time we keep Samba. Maybe Birmingham want Samba ?? After all they are THE BIG CLUB !!!!
Nelsta Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 i'll stick it in here aswell iansingleton1 Ian Singleton @ @watko10 I agree on both counts(being a great signing and unlikley to happen). From what I understand Blackburn are not close to Birmingham's valuation.
chaddyrovers Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 Yakubu turns rovers down. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,12876_7139033,00.html didn't want you anyway. move on to next striker
JW11 Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 Yakubu turns rovers down. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,12876_7139033,00.html didn't want you anyway. move on to next striker beat me to it! Onto Nicko's 'sexy striker' hopefully (if he exists)
67splitscreen Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 Cast your mind back 2weeks to the wolves game - 4 centre backs in the squad wasn't enough then. True but how likely is we lose three of Samba, Nelsen, Dann and Givet again, I believe Henley can play CB also.
daveoftherovers Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 Agree that it shouldn't be, however if we don't sign Yakubu we'll be stuck with Roberts and I know what I'd rather! As long as Kean stays we are stuck with Roberts aren't we? I mean, Roberts has to have his laces tied together as a saftey feature, just in case he totally disappears up Kean's backside and cannot be retrieved.. Just adding "The Yak" is like having an expensive twin of Roberts, I mean, for the Everton fans to hate him so much, he must be totally pish!
Waggy76 Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 Yakubu turns rovers down. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,12876_7139033,00.html didn't want you anyway. move on to next striker I agree with you there Chaddy but it is coming to something ,when the likes of Yakubu are turning us down ! I wonder why ??? But then again , I think most of us know .
roverandout Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 wow, getting snubbed by an everton reserve, i didnt think we could hit new lows, to be honest i would rather spend nothing and get rid of the venkys and kean.

Hughesy Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 Not sure I even believe we moved for Yakubu....perhaps we offered him Benjani's £5k slot on our wage bill?! Smokescreen for bigger signing I hope/ pray!
Oklahoma Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 Schalke wanted €15 million for Raul According to Michel Salgado, it was Schalke that refused the transfer of Raul to Rovers by asking a "barbarity of money" for him, €15 million if Salgado is correct.
Nelsta Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 appaerently Onuoha has turned down QPR, Wants to stay in north west.
BigBar Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 Premier League Michel Salgado: "Raul wants to go to Blackburn" 08/30/2011 The Galician side has said that if Raul is not finished this summer at Blackburn Rovers has been sought by high economic Schalke 04 at the time of negotiating the transfer. Speaking to Cadena Cope, Michel Salgado has said that it was Schalke, and Raul, who turned down the offer to his current club, Blackburn, made the former Real Madrid player, "The last thing you said, that Raul Schalke had told to reject our offer is a complete lie. It was Schalke who has rejected the offer from Blackburn and has asked a lot of money for him. " And he confirmed that the player's desire was to change the air: "Yes, absolutely, Schalke is the band has been closed by asking 15 million euros." Still, Michel still has faith in his path to re-crossed with Raul at Blackburn after nearly ten years living in the Real Madrid dressing room: "What is clear is that Schalke can not afford to stop now Raul go because the fans love him very much and he to them and the whole club. And what is also clear is that Raul would love to be a future in the Premier League and we'll see what happens, "he said.

SergioPeter89 Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 Jason Barn Door would not be so positive lately if he knew that a new striker were on the way in. Steve Kean has probably told Roberts that there is not coming in a new striker..
