BigAlan Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 @CryerRovers: As far as I am aware, Steve won't be leaving the club
michaelthomas Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 and with that everyone is brought down to earth
Waggy76 Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 They'll probably appoint Bradley Orr player manager, he's got the fibbing and arse licking skills down cold and venkys love that, and think that appeases the fans they are so out of touch. Sack kean & Orr & Myles & Bruno and make very very clear JA has less than zero to do with the club and appoint some qualified non family members to the boardroom and that is the only way i will ever begin to start to come around to venkys being the owners. Along with Agnew , let us have this character out of the club asap..
Ricky Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 So maybe he's not going anywhere then. Absolute madness if that is the case.
sjsbrfc Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 and with that everyone is brought down to earth With a great big BANG!
SamTheShrew Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 Well if he doesn't, thousands of Rovers fans will
redroses Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 my understanding of the situation is Kean has been removed as manager and has been offered an alternate role which he had until tomorrow to decide whether he wanted it.
hesfromburn Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 Hearing Kean isnt going anywhere and will stay as manager.
Steve Moss Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 Because we're run by a woman who makes decisions dependent on the moon and how the bones land.
broadsword Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 @CryerRovers: As far as I am aware, Steve won't be leaving the club Which isn't quite the same as staying as manager.
BuckyRover Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 Hearing Kean isnt going anywhere and will stay as manager. Might as well close this messageboard down. Waste of everyone's time
sjsbrfc Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 Hearing Kean isnt going anywhere and will stay as manager. Source? Don't mind (Please don't use that word again) us lol!
Waggy76 Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 my understanding of the situation is Kean has been removed as manager and has been offered an alternate role which he had until tomorrow to decide whether he wanted it. Hmmmm, is there a vacancy for a $hithouse cleaner ?
broadsword Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 /dinner times must be fraught in the Desai residence. By the time Madame's decided what to have for tea, it's time for brekkers.
garnersfags Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 Might as well close this messageboard down. Waste of everyone's time No need for that but I think we can stop assuming he's gone until we hear otherwise, from the club. Speculation about who will replace Kean generates a level of hope and optimism that will result in deep (even deeper) depression when it is confirmed he is still at the helm of our rudderless shipwreck. I will be told that speculation is what the messageboard is for but this one is too emotionally charged to misread.
Amo Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 I've just assumed he hasn't been sacked the entire time and any talk otherwise is a mix of half-truths and WUMs.
tomphil Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 Got to hand it to Blackpool fans at Wembley as the second loud chant of KEAN OUT goes up in the first 30 mins.
nick123 Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 @CryerRovers: for those who think Im being cryptic, Im not - wish I was - it is just genuine carnage and confusion all over I fear he stays Feel sick to the stomach.
garnersfags Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 I've just assumed he hasn't been sacked the entire time and any talk otherwise is a mix of half-truths and WUMs. Yep, that's the only way to approach the whole sorry situation.
Paul Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 Paul and Parson are bob on when they talk about the importance of having the right managerial structure at the club. Absolutely right that until that is sorted out, we can't move forwards. Thing is though, if Kean is sacked, it has to be now. It's no good sacking him further down the line. Sacking him now means that there wont be any kind of structure in place capable of knowing a decent manager, if they fell over one. So a question to Paul and Parson:- What should the club do - sack him now or wait 'til goodness knows when - or if - we rebuild the structure? There's only one answer isn't there? I think you well know this is the difficult question and the crux of the matter. Putting aside our feelings about Kean we have to recognise other than he and Silk there is no senior management at the club. Everyone, probably including all the Raos, want Kean out BUT do you sack the ONLY football manager in the club? Who takes training etc. etc. I know it's close season but there is still one hell of a lot to do. With KO on 18th August I guess pre season begins early July - just six weeks away. For me the management structure has to come first. No point in having a CEO who can't work with a newly appointed manager. Without a CEO a new manager is in the same situation Kean worked with. We cannot have a manager who has to fly to Pune to discuss every possible signing etc. Without the structure we cannot go forward. With Kean in charge we cannot go forward. How can we sign players? Talk about running round in circles! I imagine finding a chairman is tougher than finding a manager but think it must come first. The obvious thing is to ask Tom Finn to return but I doubt he would come. Got to hand it to Blackpool fans at Wembley as the second loud chant of KEAN OUT goes up in the first 30 mins. Really? Is this true? Might get an ST for Bloomfield Road.
sambo Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 Got to hand it to Blackpool fans at Wembley as the second loud chant of KEAN OUT goes up in the first 30 mins. Not heard it myself. I heard 'SEASIDE' in the same tune?
tomphil Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 Not heard it myself. I heard 'SEASIDE' in the same tune? Well seeing as my mate is there and just text me i'll take his word for it. Im watching and heard it myself but in these desperate times maybe the old ear's are playing tricks and it's just wishfull thinking lol
blueboy3333 Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 Hearing Kean isnt going anywhere and will stay as manager. Where from? Cryer? Cryer is being a bit of a tit. He said yesterday he wasn't speculating and yet he comes out with todays tweets. If he's got a story he should put it on the website and not wind fans up with speculation.
