Neal Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 The poll results on Bowyer are a landslide for a reason, one win against a club in the position Leeds are in doesn't change that.

Gav Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 Seriously though, so far he looks like what we've been missing for years... Presence and physicality in the middle of the pitch and generally effects play. Not asking a lot to just be able to notice a centre midfielder being involved in the game is it? Simple but effective player, pleased with him. Not sure I agree fully about Apkan. His first touch is poor and he's no eye for goal. Work in progress for me Neal, he could go either way.
Blue blood Posted October 29, 2015 Author Posted October 29, 2015 Bit tired but brief thoughts: 1st 10 minutes magnificent Last 80 poor Leeds are worse than us - absolute rubbish, never looked like scoring Steele isn't very good Bowyer's obsession with playing Hanley no matter what (even if off the field injured) would've cost us vs better opposition. No way we'll go down but won't go up under current regime. Edit funny how people thought was a great performance - I thought it was scrappy and we went down to their level after a storming start.
JAL Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 Still not enamored with Marshall at right back, he played well there tonight but when in top shape he offers the team more from the wing. Taylor played OK in that position, but didn't pull up any trees and will hardly produce many match winning performances throughout a season. If Marshall stays on at right back, which seems likely, it would be interesting to see O'Sullivan or even Mahoney be given a chance to play in front of him. Very impressed with Akpan (although he really should see as little of the ball at his feet as possible) and Lawrence. The former adds steel and that crucial shield in front of our defense that has been missing since Savage, while the latter is the closest thing we have to a pacy attacking player who also makes deadly forward runs with the ball. Steele had a shaky game, and might very well have been made to pay for it against more on-point opposition. Hanley looks stupid in that beard. Did you witness the lack of sprinting capability from O'SullIvan in injury time front of the cameras, didn't look good for the boy.
tomphil Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 On Marshall yes he had a good game there tonight but he will do when he's not under pressure from a good winger and cut off from going forwards. Leeds made it a good night for him tonight but most teams away won't.

Christ Gav, you expecting Patrick Viera??? I'm not at all bothered about if he can score goals, what I want and what we need is someone who can effectively protect our back four and this lad seems like he's the only one who's been able to do it in the past 3-4 years. I think our clean sheets back that up.
Amo Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 Leeds have had decent results in their previous 2 against sides in OK form.. Don't understate the performance and result.. Bowyer deserves credit where its due for such a composed display under fan pressure.. I'm not underestimating anything. Didn't I just say it was a good win? Also, fan pressure? That's a larf. Most of the regulars have been brainwashed into thinking he's doing a good job.
tomphil Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 Just look at most of the threads and poll results on here! Give over, just let people enjoy the win and debate on the game.
TeamGB-11 Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 The poll results on Bowyer are a landslide for a reason, one win against a club in the position Leeds are in doesn't change that. It doesn't matter, he's going nowhere, so back Blackburn rovers manager..
Neal Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 It doesn't matter, he's going nowhere, so back Blackburn rovers manager.. Can't stand comments like this... I support the team, always will no matter who the manager is but I'm not so fickle that one result will change my mindset, I've been saying the same things for 3 seasons now.

Proudtobeblue&white Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 Came out of 5-a-side at 8ish to the score. Watched the rest of the game into pub. Never felt we were going to lose to be honest. Villa fan I was with is getting used to what he's going to see next season. Leeds are relegation fodder on that form. Enjoyed the win, did what we should have done against Dingle, scored, didn't concede, always a good recipe for success. What is in those pies they give the Leeds manager?
JAL Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 It doesn't matter, he's going nowhere, so back Blackburn rovers manager.. Don't think your in touch with the Blackburn public with this kind of comment team GB. Caught a brief clip of Bill Kenwright at Liverpool cathedral commenting on Howard Kendal knowing and understanding Evertonians. Such a pity that the Evertonians running Rovers dont understand or are in touch with the Blackburn Rovers supporting public.
Blue blood Posted October 29, 2015 Author Posted October 29, 2015 Leeds look like relegation material So true! Never looked like scoring even when we were down to 10 men. Cellino's done a great job there.

I was with you and felt it was time for a change, but shebbys tweet tonight tells us venkys are sticking with him, so I'm gonna back him..
Backroom DE. Posted October 29, 2015 Backroom Posted October 29, 2015 Shame our fans didn't get a 'sacked in the morning' chant going... (for Evans, not Bowyer!)
roverzee Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 Did you witness the lack of sprinting capability from O'SullIvan in injury time front of the cameras, didn't look good for the boy. Absolutely JAL, let's get the boy written off on the basis of 60 seconds + injury time in a TV game. Let's face it you'll never ever see him in the flesh so well done for such detailed and well founded analysis. In case you'd missed it the next TV game is against Forest in mid-December, put it in your diary won't you.
tomphil Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 It doesn't matter, he's going nowhere, so back Blackburn rovers manager.. He gets backing on matchdays and always has so shabby can stick his comments up his ass. Nobody anywhere gives a stuff about him.
Amo Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 Shebby Singh's tweet tonight suggests they are fully aware of fans feelings.. Is that even Shebby's real twitter? It's not verified. Although saying that, how could you tell the difference?
LewisF Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 Loved how Hanley shoved [Evans?] out of the way going down the tunnel
tomphil Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 Shame our fans didn't get a 'sacked in the morning' chant going... (for Evans, not Bowyer!) They did after the 2nd.
Backroom DE. Posted October 29, 2015 Backroom Posted October 29, 2015 They did after the 2nd. Ah, well, thumbs up to them, then

Nothing is good enough for you, and it wasn't when we were in the prem either..
