Season tickets 2023-24 - what could/should be offered ?

As there’s no Burnley away ticket panic to take advantage of this time I imagine we won’t be seeing 1875 club this coming season… his money grabbing schemes really are that transparent.

From the BBC website…whilst rovers celebrate a new low of season ticket sales and declining attendances it seems its boom time everywhere else…

”The English Football League has recorded its highest aggregate attendance for nearly 70 years.

EFL chief executive, Trevor Birch, said: "To welcome nearly 22 million supporters to an EFL competition in 2022-23 is quite remarkable. These numbers don't happen by accident. They are testament to the efforts of the 72 clubs to create such quality football and matchday experiences that encourages fans to attend matches in person even when there are so many other ways to consume football, and particularly when so many people are facing a squeeze on their finances.”

The rise in attendance was partially fuelled by a 15% rise in season ticket sales and Birch said: "The continued rise in season ticket sales, and particularly junior season ticket sales, is really encouraging.  

“Quite simply, these fans are the future of our game which is why it is so heartening to see so many young supporters attending fixtures regularly and developing a love of football that they will hopefully take with them throughout their lives."

• 376 seats for supporters requiring ground-level font-row access are marked as unavailable (sold), but appear to be block-reserved rather than fully sold. These are therefore excluded from the season ticket estimate.

These things are always a bit silly as large and increasing numbers of fanbases no longer live in the Borough a team is based in.

But let’s pretend they do, those stats don’t even make sense, Blackpool and Preston Boroughs  are the same population as BwD around 150k.

300k+ for Preston 😁 I know they think they are a mega city these days, but come on.

In 2021 the ONS had the populations as - Preston 147,600 Blackpool 141,100.

90% of STs that are going to be sold will have been sold already.

🙄That silly barb again, usually used when an argument has been lost. And even more ironic considering how ‘negative’ you’ve been about our fanbase on this thread.

So no, nothing to do with half empty/full glasses, it’s just a fact that the vast majority of STs (at all clubs) are sold at early bird prices. The fact you are ignorant of how STs actually sell at football clubs through the close season doesn’t make me ‘negative’.

It’s all about your own standards. Personally, I’d sack people for being happy with 8,100 season tickets.

I’m massively positive about Blackburn Rovers so that’s why when the commercial operation lets the club down so badly it needs pointing out. 

Unlike you Doogs I don’t engage in ignorant wishful thinking when I know exactly the pattern STs get sold at clubs, I.e 90% at early bird prices, so not negative, not positive, mere facts   - you also do now, so you won’t be surprised when we only sell a few hundred more by KO… just like last season and just like at every club that increases prices after early bird.

A start would be if it was March or April with months of sales to come and reason to think substantially more will buy 

But mid June with early bird complete and a price hike now in place means almost all will have committed one way or another.
