Looks like Steve Kapaudi is the left sided centre back they are focusing their attention on, with the stumbling block being Legia owe a 35% sell on.

6 foot 5 french born Congolese international, spent his entire career in Eastern Europe.

Scored in Legia Warsaw’s 2-1 win over Chelsea last season.

Being reported by a Polish journo on X…

more chance of venkys appearing in blackburn,he`s not going for the peanuts we offer, thats for certain, think legia want 4 million for him, seeing as we will probably offer 400k,it is definately a non starter

Legia is in serious money problems. They need the cash they can get. They are even in more problems than Blackburn. Selling a player cheaper than they want to is least of their problems.

If you're going to be so contrary in your desperation to defend everything the Club does it's maybe worth pointing out that Batth and Weimann are wanted by at least 2 Clubs, (Derby and us)

We've just signed a player only in demand by one Club, us, in  Forshaw.

Didn't see you scoffing when Forshaw re-signed. You've been effectively endorsing the signing by reproducing previous comments VI made about him.

Edit: See Tomphil and Mercer beat me to it.

I’d argue we didn’t even want Forshaw, given we actively released him.

Looks like Legia are up sh*t creek and trying to offload whoever they can, can’t imagine he’ll be earning a right lot in the polish league either..

Wait? Jackson's has said that we arnt targeting any CB with Baath leaving...I imagine it's either old news or just smokescreen crap like with the other French lads.

Jackson said they are not targeting an additional centre back to replace Batth .... beyond the left sided centre back that they were already targeting

Will basically leave us with Carter & Hyam as right sided, Wharton & new guy as left sided options, with Atcheson, O'Riordan, Litherland as younger back up

We don’t have a pot to piss in and as the season is still weeks away likely don’t want anyone in till the first game to save paying wages like last year. Frees and loans is the best we can hope for

I think Legia are playing tonight and he isnt involved.

But wasnt an issue that he didnt want to come to a Championship side? Before you even consider finances.

Yeah I noticed that, looks like he’s on the move somewhere.

I wouldn’t read too much into the fee, 2 million quid split over 3 years on 10k a week with the intention to flog in the next couple of years is low risk.

How do you even know that ?

You don't.

Besides it's TWO clubs.....

Elliott Jackson has said today that Rovers have given up a while ago on both re-sign here and let's be honest if they wanted to re-sign here they would have done it while ago.

Plus you see other reports from jouraliast saying both are Derby last week

see my comment above.

On Forshaw, I gave my opinion whether I thought he should stay or going well before he re-sign here. No need to keep repeating it but he has re-sign here which I expect us given Ismael's comments on him.

That'll be the 90% business done then by the first week of pre season.

Its only natural you would have a few youngestes training with the first team and lets not forget that JDT always had have 8 academy players training with the first team and I think Ismael has said the same or similar words to that

I see that Elliott Jackson is basically reported that we wont be replacing Batth and Weimann. Bit of a propaganda piece justifying the decision and even saying that there is no downside to giving Forshaw a new deal. What about that he isnt good enough?

He is going to be squad player who has plenty of championship experience who is what we signed him for. He isn't going to regular in the first 11

I dont get how you can go from thinking you need say 6 or 7 to still needing the exact same number after 2 unexpected exits. Surely you decided on a certain squad size for a reason.

How many more do you think we need and what positions?

Circa 15 goals walking out the door for nothing in Dolan and Weimann.

Who's filling that void?

Yes the same people said that last summer and look how that turn out.

Best to judge when the season starts and we see what squad we go after the window finishes

Yes the report says that Legia want £3.5m fee and Rovers have offered 2-2.5m for him.

It also appears there is money to spend also.

Allegedly…these reports aren’t fro verified sources so I’d 100% take them with a pinch of salt.

jackson reported today in his update regarding left sided centre back and was no mention of this lad whatsoever

Are we really offering that though? If anything is to go by the last transfer windows then I doubt it.

Doesn't really matter. If more ambitious clubs are interested in him then stretching to €3.5m won't be a problem for them. Rovers are trying to do to Legia what they allowed to happen to themselves with Palace et al.

People did say that we wouldnt fill the void when Szmodics left.

And we didnt. We scored 7 less goals and no one hit double figures.

We’ll see at the end of the window. We’ve raked in a lot of money over the last 18 months, £2m on a midfielder and £3m on a CB is the very least they should be spending.

Yes, you gave your opinion on Forshaw that you wanted him to go. Since we renewed his contract you have bent over backwards to justify it.

No good having squad players who if needed to start a few games arent up to it.

Jason Lowe should be re-signed as he would also only be a back up and has plenty of Championship experience. If thats literally what is needed. Or Corry Evans.

We need 1 or 2 centre backs, a right back, a right winger, a number 10 and a striker as a minimum. Then probably replacements for Travis, Brittain and Tronstad seeing as we havent bothered to even offer any new deals.
