roversfan99 Posted 58 minutes ago Posted 58 minutes ago Gigantic blow to lose Brittain. Makes us much weaker and a team competing supposedly in the same area of the league much stronger. In the LT article, none of the others are close to new deals either. Suspect Ismael might soon grow frustrated with that. 2 Quote

yellowsubmarine Posted 55 minutes ago Posted 55 minutes ago In a blink of an eye, we lost some of our most senior and core players of the squad within a month - Batth, Weimann, Dolan and now Brittain. Who's next? 2 Quote

BankEnd Rover Posted 48 minutes ago Posted 48 minutes ago He will be missed! Did struggle at times especially defensively in his first 2 years but the last 12 months, yes, he was arguably one of the best RWB in the league. I wouldn't go as far as it making us significantly weaker, I've confidence that Miller and Alebiosu will be good enough replacements.Β Β At least he's not walked for free... Quote
davulsukur Posted 47 minutes ago Posted 47 minutes ago 15 minutes ago, Craigman said: Callum leaves. https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2025/august/04/callum-completes-middlesbrough-move/ Another total clusterfuck by the club. As usual, we just wave goodbye to any of our better players year on year, with absolutely no desire from anyone at the club to retain them and try progress/build anything.Β Just get the players out the door and replace with cheaper, inferior players in order to save some money on wages. Fucking fed up of this shit. 8 Quote
Neal Posted 44 minutes ago Posted 44 minutes ago Shame with Callum. Only really showed us what he was all about last season, before that was so stop start with injuries even though I knew how good he could be. If we'd have sold for 5 million then would have been fair business. Travis is probably next. Β No way can we replace the quality he has with the budget we have so let's hope big Lewis Miller comes in and offers something different. Perhaps some nastiness and physicality.Β Quote
BigHoz Posted 44 minutes ago Posted 44 minutes ago Brittain is a huge loss, very concerning letting all this championship experience leave the club and replacing with unknown foreigners on the cheap. Letβs hope the new guys have some dog in them as I predict a very hard season ahead. Forward and defence have been significantly weakened. Hope Iβm proved wrong.Β Quote

RevidgeBlue Posted 39 minutes ago Posted 39 minutes ago (edited) 1 hour ago, Eddie said: Why? I mean, I get it because of how the club is run, but we need more central midfield options. Our season was derailed last season because of injuries to TWO central midfielders. Adding three this summer would be sensible.Β As with the argument for more CB's I dont get the argument for more midfielders either. We have 4 senior CB's and 2 young lads who could deputise at a push. 6 options. If Henriksson signs we then have four main senior options in midfield plus as things stand Buckley and Forshaw. Should we have signed Forshaw? Of course not. But we did therefore VI presumably thinks he can contribute. Again 6 options - this time all senior ones. Conversely up front we only have 2 senior strikers and no RW worthy of the name.Β If one of Baradji or Henrikssen and also Millar sign to replace Brittain then forget any more defenders or midfielders, get some bloody firepower in! Edit: Seven in midfield. Forgot about Cantwell. Edited 34 minutes ago by RevidgeBlue 1 Quote
Trinidad Rover Posted 38 minutes ago Posted 38 minutes ago (edited) All the best Callum, good player and I hope he does well for himself. Players voting with their feet and can you blame them? Absolutely obvious the players that are leaving/not signing contracts are not convinced of the future direction of the club.Β Expect Travis to go next. Replacing them with cheaper, inferior players will lead to one outcome. The squad is incredibly thin as it stands. Bleak. Β Edited 36 minutes ago by Trinidad Rover Quote
rovers11 Posted 37 minutes ago Posted 37 minutes ago Telling words from Brittain on his move to Boro. In reference to why he joined: "It's clear everyone is pulling the same direction". A subtle dig at how things are run at Rovers I suspect. Not the first time a player has said that upon joining a new club. 6 Quote

Those are worse than Sam Gallagher statsΒ They're not. In his last 2 Championship seasons with us, Gallagher scored 11 in 58 appearances. A goal every 5.27 games. The stats you just gave are a goal every 5.07 games for McBurnie. If you take Gally's actual last 2 Championship seasons, so that's his one with Stoke and his last with us, he scored 6 in 46, or a goal every 7.66 games. Quote
