TugaysMarlboro Posted August 22 Posted August 22 You would only talk about the potential fee, if you thought people would be pissed off about the guaranteed fee. Otherwise (like most other transfers around) you would mention both. Can we please not pretend otherwise. 3 Quote
RevidgeBlue Posted August 22 Posted August 22 Also if Baradji's arrival is imminent it would tend to indicate the only real reason we couldn't sign him before now is financial and we had to offload Travis first. 1 Quote
rovers11 Posted August 22 Posted August 22 A loan makes no sense at all. He flops, we don't sign him. He excels, a bigger club snaps him up. Either way, he won't be here next season. 7 Quote

The article states there is an option to buy, so if he flops, we send him back, if he does great, its a legally pre agreed fee https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2025/august/22/rovers-make-moussa-move-/ I criticise the club for a lot but this actually looks sensible Edited August 22 by KentExile 9 Quote
roversfan99 Posted August 22 Posted August 22 So just to clarify. We are replacing our captain who the local journalist is bigging up the fee of. With an injured player on loan? 3 Quote

simongarnerisgod Posted August 22 Posted August 22 when you see the likes of charlton, qpr and millwall spending cash on proven players, something is very wrong with the state of this club,we can`t now seemingly manage to pay for a player from the swiss 2nd divison 8 Quote

ROVER_N_OUT1978 Posted August 22 Posted August 22 Some talk of him having signed a 2 year contract extension with Yverdon before the loan move which is totally bizarre Quote

Yes, he will have signed the contract In those sort of cases, the player is "flipped" like a house, for a profit Edited August 22 by KentExile 1 Quote

They won't want to pay the sort of fee required for the player on a permanent deal and there's no way the player comes here permanently if a bigger club comes in and offers him higher wages. What a shame as I think he's our most talented player signed this summer.ย 1 Quote
Neal Posted August 22 Posted August 22 Am I misunderstanding what the manager is saying? Was he talking about us being close (ish) to signing an attacker or is Beradji the player he's talking about?ย Quote
Valconite Posted August 22 Posted August 22 Havenโt really been following anything club related for over a week but see it is still a shit show. Weird that I literally feel nothing about Travis leaving. Cretins well and truly have destroyed any passion & love that I have had left for this club. Been a lot more enjoyable spending time on hobbies and not watching the last game / following rovers news. Cherry on top has be that their main target all summer is injured and has signed on a loan deal ๐๐๐๐ To those of you that are still fighting a non winnable battle for change I salute you. To the happy clappers that suffer from stockholm syndrome it is time to return to reality. I for one will enjoy spending my time on non Rovers related activities as I have noticed that I have been a lot happier the past week. Will occasionally still check in for the ongoings.ย ย I envy supporters of other clubs with competent people in charge ๐ 5 Quote

Bingo! And that's exactly what Rovers are hoping for so we don't have to pay the transfer fee. It's so obvious how the club operates these days when it comes to players requiring higher transfer fees.ย 2 Quote
