As disgusting as the pricing is, it matters not a jot to me as I won't be buying a ticket for venky rovers ever.

My suggestion to those that don't like the price of the tickets would be to not buy one. Don't give them your money.

I wouldn't give them the steam off my piss.

Still expect we will get more than 4/5k walk ons for Birmingham home game

Rovers start well and get a positive result against WBA, maybe more on

So ~9k season ticket holders, 5k walk-ons, 5k Brummies. Let's knock 1k off coz it's summer holidays. You think there will be ~18k on?

I think there's no chance of that myself

I think you might struggle to get to Ewood from your house so probably not a tough decision.

The numpties inside Ewood will be banking on Brum selling the whole DE that's how they operate.

They couldn't give a toss if those prices make a potential 15k home turnout into 12k.

Plus it’s opening home day, so they know they’ll still get more home fans than a game a few weeks later. Don’t like it? Tough, we’ll be coining it in from Brum regardless.

For opening game last season against Derby we had just under 18k and that game was on Friday night and on Sky.

I think the ticket prices this time will mean fewer home fans will bother. Unless we beat Albion 4-0 away the week before or something. I won't hold my breath

Imaginative initiative from non league Chorley. They have lots of standing room which undoubtedly helps but with us supposedly allocating safe standing areas it could work.

The key sentence for me is 'You asked and we listened'.

Great idea for "smaller clubs" it would be a logistical nightmare for probably the 2 people who run Rovers ticketing operation.

far to much hard work for us to even contemplate it also the threat of possibly seeing cash in the club shop is likely to bring on panic attacks

Not were you were told. Everybody agreed it would work a treat for fans. What you were actually told was the club wouldn’t offer it as it would cannibalise full ST sales and lead to a complete collapse in midweek crowds… and guess what they haven’t offered it.

Ticket prices aren't too similar. a fiver more in some stands I believe. Plus its a Saturday 3pm which some/most fans are better for them.

Good offer and I know some Rovers fans who attend some Chorley when Rovers aren't playing.

I know they did, that’s when we had this discussion last time. I.e. during the season, during, like they do with bundles, half STs and all the rest of it.

They just aren’t going to offer it as an alternative option in the summer for the entire upcoming season for the reason I outlined. That doesn’t mean I and many other ST holders wouldn’t snap their hand off for one if it was offered… and that’s why they don’t, and won’t .

Won't is a long time, and bundles and half season tickets aren't flexing tickets.

Like Chorley have acknowledged, with football as it is, it looks inevitable to happen. We'll no doubt have another tester later this season.

I saw that Chorley were concerned about low season ticket sales and canvassed supporters who were on their ticketing database. This is why they said they listened.

I doubt very much that Rovers have even considered other initiatives ie discounted family tickets.

The driver should be around 14000 empty seats.

So like I said, M_B, it won’t happen here, not that it wouldn’t be a great option for fans here. Yes, I’m aware what a flexi ticket is, was merely listing different ticket options released during a season.

We won’t be seeing a flexi ticket to pick and choose games (I.e the option to now drop the inconvenient ones like a stone) offered in the summer next to a full ST, it’s as simple as that.

Bolton have introduced some sort of flexi ticket despite selling probably double what we have.

Seen a few of their fans saying it's a bit pointless because ST's in certain sections are cheap enough to buy then not bother if you miss half the games.

Used to be like that here.

If the mid-week games had attractive pricing, people might attend ,but not use one of their 15 tickets ?

Below is what Chorley are offering. In the 15 game package you can use more than one ticket per game so in theory it reads that you can use all 15 for one match. They simply issue all 15 tickets in one bundle so it's not too onerous to utilise.

DUE to unprecedented demand, we are excited to announce a brand new Season Ticket type ahead of the new season, the SUPER 15. Many of you reached out to tell us you'd struggle to commit to all 23 league games with a standardised Season Ticket, so, we've listened to your feedback to come up with this brand new initiative.

A SUPER 15 ticket will grant you 15 match tickets, to be able to pick which game you want to attend, for only £200. This is only £13.33 per game!

If you wish to bring a friend, family member with you - no problem. The 15 tickets will be issued physically to each paying customer, meaning the flexibility lies with you to pick and choose as you wish.

Do you know what their price per game is for a full season ticket?

Not difficult, just offer 1000/2000 in the Blackburn end upper.

See what the uptake is and how it affects other sales.
