I dont rate Cantwell at all but that accusation is probably slightly harsh.

I was outside the players lounge one game last year and the vast majority of players were out post match signing autographs.  Cantwell comes out trapsing behind them all last.  Stops, looks at himself in the mirror, then works his way down the line ripping up all the signed autographs.  

The kids couldn't believe it.  Not least when he bust a gut to catch up to a kid making a break for it.  Fastest hed run all day is what people were saying

I'm assuming if there were a load of kids meeting the players, there would have been plenty of cameras about.

In the lounge after the Watford game last season, Kevin Gallacher made a special plea for fans “not to ask Todd for an autograph as he was ‘in a hurry’…”

This is serious pre-season nothing to talk about fan madness.

The West Brom game will come round soon enough... then we will wish all we had to talk about were phantom autographs....
