It does make you wonder when someone joins a few hours ago, and their first post is a transfer link, which they seem to have "dropped and then ran"

That being said, it sounds cheap and shit enough to be true, so either thanks for the info, or well played whichever is applicable

If the website would actually work and send the email for a forgot password then I wouldn't have to make a new account! Been driving me up the wall. It is just what I have been told following on from Q&A last night with Ismael.

I think @MarkBRFC's suggestion that we'll sign Mullin is looking more and more likely. They'll just wait a little longer to avoid maximum backlash.

God of L2/Nats, actually that might be useful in a couple of years...

Youan would also make sense as a cut-price alternative to Reyes Cleary, similar profile of versatile forward with some pace, though perhaps more record as a striker.

agreed, it sounds like a genuine cut price alternative, or a wonderfully well pitched bit of nonsense, to stir up the forum. It sounds very Rovers

Did he make any claims about the potential timing and quantity of any signings?

Was he asked why we havent signed the players we "expected to" before Hull?

I dont get why we need an experienced Championship striker. I feel like that will leave us with sub par plodders like Lyndon Dykes.

Whilst I agree that's the likely profile we get with our budget, what market do you think we should be looking at, with our obvious budgetary constraints?

I'm not sure if we even have an ESC slot free anymore (until Gueye moves), can't remember. But I'm sure Kent and Wilsden can.

Gueye didn't take an ESC slot anyway.

One available providing they convert Toth is my understanding.

I think we should have 1 spot with Toth being converted. Gueye never had a slot.

Its hard to sign a reasonable striker for a cheap fee and cheap wages. But if we put too much focus on Championship experience in the most expensive position then we will only be able to get unwanted crap. Players like Lyndon Dykes, Frey at QPR, and even then their wages might be too much.

We are short of Championship experience but up front its goals and pace we need more.

So what's your usual name on here then?

Ah yes, I remember about Gueye now. Shows how pointless the point system is when someone like Gueye automatically qualifies but a better player, like Toth for example, doesn't.

I'd imagine they'll get that Toth paperwork sorted..right after the window closes.

should have been able to convert Toth at the beginning of January

Gueye qualified for a standard work permit, Kargbo, Henriksson & Baradji are the other ESC slots

Sounds very plausible. Heavily linked with him last year and in the final 6 months of his deal at Hibs. Hibs are trying to bring in Cadamateri which suggests they think one of their forwards may be moving on.

He's got pace I suppose.

That was Kargbo’s selling point and can’t say that has worked out yet.

The club need to be looking for another Andi Weimann type to get us to the end of the season. Experienced championship goalscorer and not keep gambling on Belgian & mid table Scottish clubs surplus players.

If Gueye goes, I’d argue we need two strikers in, not one. Can’t be relying on Henriksson to fill in that strikers role.

Ismael has said we want 2 strikers. We need 2 so that would be correct.

No mention here of why the signings havent been made as suggested.

Dont see why we suddenly dont need a right wing back.

We badly need a left wing back.

No mention here of why the signings haven't been made as suggested. - I am sure most of us know

Don't see why we suddenly don't need a right wing back. - we probably thought we could get someone who is out of contract at the end of the season on the cheap, but couldn't, so in typical Rovers fashion, will kick that can down the road until summer

We badly need a left wing back. - yes

Is that the deadline passed now? Any signings we make now can't play against Hull?

I doubt we are going to make any.

Given some of your past predictions, that should mean we have the best January window in years 😉

(which admittedly is a very low bar)
