  1. Just seen that PNE showed their game live at Deepdale, didn't realise you could do beam backs for run of the mill league games. Not a good day for them 2-0 defeat and their captain sent off in the 97th minute 🙂
  2. Surpised not to see waggot running over with credit card machine in hand to the kids with the please can I have your shirt signs
  3. although you can never say never with Rovers, Reading are pretty poor up front, confident of 2-1 🙂
  4. Think of the poor guy at EFL digital who has to watch it real time and pick out 20 seconds of highlights for tonight Quest EFL round up
  5. Par of the course when the main criterias for a manager of Venky's Blackburn Rovers is , Madam thinks you are a nice man and you work long hours. Give Madam, Barry and Tache the occasional verbal rimming, Your Agent or mate is running the club Take your Mrs to have a girly night in with Mrs D and if all that fails get your Mrs to ring up Madame and cry for your job
  6. But over on facebook they are probably worried about Newcastle coming in for him 🙂
  7. Imagine how crazy it would have been if he was onside and scored from that header towards the end of the game, the perfect ending to the 24 hours fairy tale
  8. The Journey - Update Oct 16 Setting off today running on three spark plugs , luckily the 4th one kicked in just before halfway. Unfortunately the driver saw this as time to pull into the layby and have a picnic. Lid left off the tupperware box so cakes were stale Still not there yet and a long way to go.
  9. Their bloke trying to stay on his feet probably worked against him
  10. If only there was a way of contacting a reputable merch manufacturer/ printer in Chile and sorting a licence out for non kit related stuff, Some time in the future I bet there will be a way of doing this , heard a whisper about a thing called the world wide web and a way you can send letters without a pen and paper
  11. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/news/19642347.blackburns-billionaire-issa-brothers-invest-millions-burnley/ Mentions of a couple of developments alongside the M65
  12. Pleasington playing fields where built in 1935 (BWD website) Somebody mentioned earlier in the thread that it was stated in a book it was near the Butlers Arms inn. Looked at some old maps and thought it may have been where the bowling green is, but since found the Bowling green was opened in 1846, but to the side of the Butlers / bowling green there was a big open flat surface , on this map its divided into sections (near the road where houses now are). But there is a map online 1900 or so that shows the two bigger houses not built but land divided and a couple of structures no longer there (club house?). https://www.archiuk.com/cgi-bin/build_nls_historic_map.pl?search_location=, Blackburn, Lancashire&latitude=53.738394&longitude=-2.486610 obviously pure guess work taking into account old maps , lay of the land etc and the old book mentioned in a previous post. Would also make sense having a cricket ground near a pub 🙂 A newspaper article from time mentions that the Preston player that sadly died , was carried into the Butlers Arms
  13. 1882 Tram accident at Ewood Bridge prior to a Rovers v Olympic East Lancs Charity Cup Final https://www.cottontown.org/Transport/Trams/Pages/Accidents.aspx Also on cottontown there is quite a bit on the Ewood Bridge ground prior to Rovers buying it, in the Rovers section. https://www.cottontown.org/Culture and Leisure/Sport/Pages/Blackburn-Rovers.aspx#2
  14. Get in Diaz Gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaaaalllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll
  15. Too much negativeity on this thread, so stats have just been up on Rovers TV and we have had more succesful crosses than Blackpool, onwards and upwards
  16. Maglorie at right back according to formation that just appeared on Rovers TV
