I fear the Internationals could well cost us here re Emerton and Neill - them missing will mean an unstable defence. Its on the cards as we all know - Bellamy scored mid week - first goal for his new club aaginst his former. So 1 v 0 to the once we where famous brigade -

Personally, I think it will depend on how well each club has done in the first x2 maybe x3 games to see what the position is. -

There are a few of these YB Just realised your signature now. -
Welcome to the board PW Most likely the Rovers board will have been in communication about this with the Bolton board so hopefully this will be replicated when we visit your place. Maybe this might just hit home to the powers that be within the game and not just at the Rovers /Notlob - didn't somebody mention on here a while back about Rovers being the club that people that matter would be watching re issues such as this? (Philipl??)

Familiar to most away games in Europe Use your head be on your guard and don't wander off on your own. Just one point of mention - England play Holland a week before in Amsterdam - hoepfully without any problems. -

mmmm .... possibly the one I mentioned above that I couldn't remember the name of then- could possibly explain why I just had the recall of the big metal grasshopper in the middle of the roof -

Strange it was 3.60 euro the other week. Anyway if t/o queues, they have machines you can use for speed dotted about the place( they accept most cards) as cash was exact change only. As already mentioned trains are regular from the Airport to 'The Dam' and from there to Rotterdam. Where about's is this - seem to vaguely recall it for some reason -
Don't know if this counts , but asked a Bolton fan yesterday here at work re the ticket price before it was confirmed - he checked it out and said yes it definitely was. Guess what - there are now x10 of them going to the game that would otherwise not have been going. Now just need to recruit the Rovers fans

Twas a good day (except for the match) - looks like our paths might have crossed

For ease of memory 'The Old Sailor' in the the Red Light District is a decent one and easy to find - not far from Centraal Station either walking - 10-15 mins if that. Alternative - as you come out of Centraal Station and keep walking straight down 'Damrak' traversing the canal past all the 'tourist' boats and turn left there is a pub overlooking the canal - can't remember what it is called though and is a tad expensive for drinks and does food - not far from Tris's hangout for the duration the Ibis Hotel - there is also Teasers not far away either -
Impressive ground that it is though , the acoustics are not vey good so don't know what effect this would have on the atmosphere regardless of who is playing there in the Final

Doubt Saprky or the Club would stand in his way if he wants to go - probably a mutual agreement would be reached. Question is - would he go? -

As per my previous post - on Radio Lancs last week he said (don't quote me but words to the effect) aside from the financial gains its about the raising of the the clubs profile in Europe and they are committed to it. -

So what was JW going on about then Lee? -
Not in a minority camp here more sitiing on the fence , but this is what I have been referring to re the showboating etc. in the Euro game and against Wigan (also Portsmouth). Its good that we are creaitng the chances but we need to me more ruthless if we want to progress further than where we are at the moment -especially Benni.

According to JW interview on Radio Lancs last week they will make money but can't remember how much (corporate, advertising, dependent on who we draw etc) -but he made it known its not about the money but about the prestige and raising Rovers Profile given the history in Europe and how as a club they are committed to going as far as possible. -
I wouldn't FR but that's just me - I live in Wigan now, and I know its not quite the same but I would never consider going to watch them turning your post on its head as I understand your predicament but not the reasoning in terms of 'supporting' - what would happen if these teams you secondly support played ROVERS in a meaningful or any game for that matter? This is the million dollar question, which those such as myself can't understand - difficult for me as I have not been in the position you find yourself in so I can only summise and go with what I feel, as I suppose others who question such as yourself also do. I have no doubt it would be the Rovers for you, however this might have something to do with me being 'old school' but I still can't get into this my 1st team is ???, my 2nd team is xx etc. As MB posted this is what is grating about Jan - and she/he still hasn't answered what I keep asking - Rovers or Celtic? At least you don't bang on about it Fair enough going to watch another game etc but supporting another team?
-
Make your mind up ER - you posted the defence are gelling on the Tugay thread. Been on the juice or something

Yep, the green hooped one!! Neither did I. Maybe they could try it for the Chelsea cup game, as I suspect the whole crowd situation will raise its ugly head again.

--> QUOTE(Ste B @ Oct 1 2006, 15:44 ) 449322[/snapback] i'm pretty sure that the computer draw only actually takes into account the fixture conditions - ie no team from the arctic circle playing at home in december, and is structured to enable the top 2 seeded groups to have a home game as the last game. Resulting in as you say us playing somebody from pots 1 and 3 In other words .... its fixed
